    Lol OK.

I've missed c.24hrs of the thread so feel disconnected.

A few qs to get things going:
    1) what do you make of eyes, my top scum read?
    2) what are your strongest reads?

It's these sort of posts thay give me herby jeebies about kitty cat.

They just stick out as awkward to me- like she's not really invested in her reads but knows she needs to make them

Don't understand how that's an awkward post. Mafia Bro had literally posted 5 times.

Doing a bit of dissecting here. Hey @Myopia, can you please point me to where the word triad was mentioned? I attempted to, but was unable to, find it. I checked SOD posts, signup, and setup links and cannot find the use of the word triad.

I had not considered that. I could see some mechanic where I am contagious in some way. We may revisit this later.

My recommendation would be to either holster any actions you may have N1 or to apply them to players you wouldn't mind being gonezo (like your scum suspects). We may hope that we will gain more clarity about the nature of the parasitic infection with time, maybe as early as D2.

Good shout to be honest, I didn't remember the word triad either but assumed I just missed it.

Actually, after reading the Stealthbomber16 role one more time, I have yet another theory here. Maybe the SB16 role holder has a neutral Lover-type alignment, and they are in "love" with their target. This would explain why the rolecard flip only talks about mechanics of the infection (SB16 role learns many pieces of information about their target) but doesn't say much more. I suspect there is more text not revealed to us that falls under "factional" or alignment sections not shown to us (things like win-con). The curious aspect of the role, though, is that it says "you don't know who they [the target] are". Bad news here is that if Dark Unicorn was tied up with this SB16 person, then now SB16 knows who their target is since Unicorn claimed to have a parasitic infection. It may also be an Executioner type of role where they know their target's role, alignment, private chats, etc. but not the identity and maybe their goal is to figure out which player it is and to get them killed. Good luck, Unicorn.

anyone capable of not making a bunch of syntactical errors could easily make the switch! spooky!

but moreover a third party gaining information on the slot they can guise into sounds, pretty reasonable to me

Yeah, if that was the case the cats out of the bag already. Not much to be done there but the way it changes investigative results made me feel it was important to reveal. Also the idea of hidden votes really bothers me. I have been peeking at the vote counter to see if the numbers change in an odd way but haven't noticed anything yet. I am not sure if there is anything we can do to counter such a function but its going to be more of an issue as the game goes on.

I am not sure if its likely for me to convert players for another faction. That would basically make me play against my own win condition which would be questionable from a design standpoint. Although it would certainly be interesting and unique I am not sure if it would be seen as fun.

Im kinda just resigned to see how stuff plays out. There is just too many potentials for us to make any real progress on my condition right now. As time goes on we will probably get more information but if it becomes a big enough issue we can just kill me to get rid of it. I would absolutely be in favor of that if I change others alignments.

I guess there could also be roles with post limitations as well, but that seems much more anti-fun then anything, so I hope they dont exist.

I find it much more likely that people are adopting unusual speech patterns or posting styles in an attempt to vary their play for entertainment. There is nothing requiring me to use an expanded vernacular, or communicate in the way that I am. I’m simply choosing to. If it becomes inconvenient, I simply won’t.

Tesseract very clearly has to communicate en mass. That’s something I’m content to humor. Mafia bro’s communication style isn’t distracting or invasive. I am willing to humor that as well.
