Thanks for informing me! I'd actually been waiting for that beta for a while.. hope we'll get selected.
Though I have worked in the gaming industry, I'm not going to lie by ticking that box. It might actually decrease your chances, because they might not want to let the competition in on their secrets. That's the whole point of NDA's.

There.. signed up.
Wrote a long resume explaining why they should pick me, because they totally should
Everyone gets that "excellent" rating though, so I don't know why they put that there other than to filter people who don't even want to put minimal effort into their application. They sure won't do any real testing...

Spoiler : fm history :
As someone who does work in the industry right now, I didn't check the box.
It's an obvious trap; especially since It's a closed beta. They'll most likely not even read any application that has this checked.
Spoiler : FM History :
I signed up earlier today and had gotten an above average, Maybe i'll resign to get full later since i can put in a guild now :P
What I pasted:
occurs to me that out of all the beta testing applications I have filled out, none of them have ever asked me "why should you choose me as a beta tester" On that note, I applaud whomever this may read this statement and your colleagues on your willingness to sift through countless number of applicants. That being said, the question of "why I should be chosen" is regretfully not one I can answer with much confidence. The Elder Scrolls being an extremely popular gaming series, I expect thousands, if not tens of thousands of applicants who I can imagine are much more hardcore gaming fans than I, sitting in their secluded, yet secure homesteads and being able to spend countless hours exploring fantastic landscapes and experiences, while I, being of the busy sort, haphazardly clock in 2, maybe 3 hours of gaming a day after a rough day at school and work. As I grow older, my so called "responsibilities" continue to pile up, eventually taking what little enjoyment I have of life outside of the norm (and inside the screen). When will I have time to travel landscapes far and beyond? When will I have time to challenge myself against dragons or demonic beings? When will I have time to brandish steel? draw a bow? cast spells? These questions constantly invade my thoughts and only increase my restlessness as I become increasingly aware of my diminishing freedom. I ask myself, as many young men ask themselves: "What am I doing with my life? where will my studies lead me? who will I be in the future?"
I have naught the answer to these questions. And though I realize the futility of continuing to ask for answers which cannot be found, I find myself often seeking these answers. Yes, the machinations of my mind are an enigma. However I am but one man. One man in a world of men who, much like I am, struggle with the same questions. Face the same difficulties. Live the same lives. What makes me special from all others? I am unique in the way that everyone else is unique. I am myself, as others are him or herself. I have qualities that may or may not allow me to be a successful person, but does that make me a better person? a superior human being? Do I dare arrogantly assume that I deserve to receive praise because I am me? What am I but a product of our society and chance of circumstance, like all others around me, before me, and after me. You may very well have a criteria and guidelines in which you choose the perfect candidates, but I ask you, what makes some more suited than others, when all are equally unique in body and spirit, similar only in the fact that we are different. It is a human consensus through individuality, that which is the perhaps the sole truth of human society, laughably paradoxical in nature. With such paradox in mind, in choosing me, you choose all the others, and in choosing others, you choose me.

Signed up.
I wonder what the devs will think when they see the reason why I should be picked...
TLDR I said I've played 17 different MMO's in beta, currently playing 6 MMO's, use alot of my time to play, beta test to support the developers like a beta tester should, fan of the series, work withing the media, et cetera.
Also my DxDiag shows that I have like 50 USB's, lol.
Seeing how much claiming to be part of the gaming industry boosts your mark, it's practicaly asking to be lied on.
Meh, I'll definately buy ESO when it's realeased, but I'm not sure how motivated I am to be a beta tester.
When are we supposed to hear back if we made it?
