I had this really long post all typed up and ready to post yesterday responding to your analysis of me, and when I clicked "post" I was informed that the thread was locked and my post which I had now spent 30-ish minutes typing was gone... glares at Candy Crush Not really wanting to type up all that shit again, but also not wanting to forget about making the post/or remember to do it later, but forget all of my thoughts, I decided to retype it immediately. But as I'm rather frustrated at losing my previous iteration of this post, it might not be as clear/long/detailed, so forgive me if I miss some things. If you have questions I'll answer them. Here goes...

Still think he's scum and as I mentioned yesterday, I think his flip will give us information about Fall Down's alignment as well. Plus, a number of other people suspect Vine so I don't think it will be too difficult for us to get the votes.

Two things. One, South Korea was not purposefully acting scummy. In fact, I knew he was town the whole time and didn't really understand why everyone was always on his dick. But either way, that is not really relevant to this game. So let's talk about this game.

Things that happened:
Vine posted a stupid plan
People discussed plan, said it was stupid
Some stupids agreed with it
You disagree with it, but still defend him.

Seems like an attempt to defend your mafia pal without buddying him too hard. So you say you disagree, but then try to convince us that he's an important town trying to WIFOM. The fact is that if you were really town and you really believed this to be true, you would not have pointed it out, because doing so defeats the point of it and exposes him as important town.

Just to be sure, though: Do the mafia currently know the identities and/or roles of their fellow mafia members?

This one is interesting. He looks more like he is dug into Fall Down than Vine and came out the gate with the vote. His reference of "as I mentioned yesterday" was a bit odd. It feels like a "I have been focused on Vine" when only one of the days posts gently insinuated that vine was scum and only by connection to Fall Down. In a word- I do not care for this post at all. It is out right- "Lets lynch this guy" not "Lets put pressure on this guy and see where it takes us". I read this interaction as scummy but if vine flips red I would be much more comfortable.

The "as I mentioned yesterday" was actually referring to the fact that Vine's flip would inform Fall Down's alignment because I had pointed that out on d1. Though I thought Vine was scummy d1 (obviously, or FD's defense wouldn't have tripped my radar) I did not push for his lynch really hard and was not trying to imply that I did. Sorry for the confusion.

Where were the reads already called out as being bullshit? I must've missed it. I admit I've been skimming because I've been busy the last couple days. I'm hoping things will die down a bit tomorrow so I can read more closely and take more/better notes. In any case, I marked that post when I was skimming as something I wanted to go back and respond to, so I did. My instinct on WWF is that he just made a mistake, but I'll have to re-examine his posts to be sure. I am not necessarily sure Vine is scum, I am just suspicious of him because his "plan" yesterday was basically for everyone to claim. Though I'll admit it's unlikely that scum would be so brazen, it could could be a gambit to get us to follow that exact line of thinking to assume Vine is town and let him fly under the radar all game.

The last will of Tapatalk confirms that Vine was lured, so Vine may very well be one of the scum that attacked Tapatalk.

This caught my attention as well. He says he is just skimming posts but came out with a Lynch target in his first post of the day. This is in contradiction with my read on him as a player. Then he back tracks his FoS on Vine. When I read that paragraph it feels totally void of the confidence shown in the prior 2 posts on vine (446 and 377) but directly below it the confidence is restored with a side note of Vine's Lure. I have trouble labeling this as scummy simply because I probably would not be confident in a post where I admitted I did not read the chat. If I live long enough to re-visit Kik I will take a second look at this. Really I need more interactions from him to get a better feel for his mind.

I was skimming posts because I was trying to catch up on 100+ posts from my phone while at work during my break. Also, the "backtrack" is taking things a bit out of context. I was responding to a post by Cut the Rope in which he asked me why I was "so sure" that Vine was scum. (side note: I had a link to CtR's post in my previous iteration of this, but I closed the tab and can't find and couldn't quote it even if I could find it since the thread is closed, so fuck it.) My reply was simply saying that while I did think he's scum, I was not 100% sure of it. Probably closer to 80%. I was actually more sure of Quizup being scum (nearing 90-100%, I would say) but felt Vine'y lynch would give us more information. Which it did... at an unfortunate cost.

Post 458 Revealed smoke and mirrors? Why would a player who is pushing for organization earlier in the game know what someone was asking and fuck with them? Slight FoS on Quizup after he clarified. This is probably the first post I read some emotional content in.

Post 462 More emotional content. Second paragraph calls out Cut the Rope on his links speaking to Kik being through. Re-asserts the lure=killer logic

Post 761 Logic on researcher's reveal and potential for a disguisers

Post 762 Better logic on disguisers

Post 807 he threw out the connection between Fruit and 2048 which had been overlooked for the most part. A lot in common with post 177. Now if either lynch happens he will have a follow-up target.


All in all the vine role flip will speak quite a bit. Most of his plays are town but there are some glaring inconsistency here and there. The cop-out of skimming, The strong desire to see a kill and not a pressure vote. I am leaning slightly scum on him but it would be on par with the way townies make an effort not to look too townie. Regardless of my alignment read its easy to see that he is a very experienced player who has every intention of controlling the lynch targets to some degree. If he is scum I would not expect a scum slip.

For now I am leaning slightly scum. There are a few things he has said that I do not care for which speak to his motivation. Im not going to say I support a lynch on him but he is a player I will keep my eye on..

Though I disagree with your conclusions, they are reasonable based on your thoughts of my posts.

Since Vine flipped green, I'm a lot less wary of Fall Down. But I pressured this guy a lot yesterday and I am unsatisfied with the result. Or rather, his response was ineffective at convincing me that he is town, so I still believe him to be scum.

Anyways, Vine flipping town cements my reads in my eyes. To reiterate:

Let's go with my reads for now. Words with Friends wanted to lynch the researcher so remove him. Fruit Ninja is researcher so remove him.

That leaves Temple Run and Angry Birds.

I'm leaning towards Temple Run as scum here, because it was back when the wagons were forming. Angry Birds could also be scum, but he chucked that vote on later when it was pretty much set.

I don't like how I was the only one that voted Instagram and then multiple players just threw out "Oh Instagram is scum". Looking at you Words with Friends in particular.

Anyways, moving on.

By process of elimination we have a pool of players for scum: {Angry Birds, 4pics1word, Temple Run, Words with Friends, Piano Tiles, Fall Down, 2048, Instagram}

This is 8 players, with 5 being scum.

The most likely towns in this group are Words with Friends and Piano Tiles, though Piano Tiles is a null leaning scum read.

I believe we should lynch in this order:

Temple Run -> Fall Down -> Angry Birds -> 4pics1word -> Piano Tiles -> Instagram

At that point the game should be better figured about by living players rather than a dead players predictions N2.

Yeah. I will probably post a huge wall I have built up in about 20 hours but I want to see the day push a bit before I do. As a whole the town is not putting any pressure on lurkers to talk and I get a vibe from most players that "Defending they are right" is more important than the actual scum hunt. Its like the worst kind of pissing contest where everyone wants to be able to say "I was 100% certain and it was obvious" for the MVP vote.


On an unrelated note- You should knock that number down to 3 and make that block for red players only. Unaligned neutral killers do not really have patterns.

Basic rundown of game so far:
d1-
top lynch trains: Fruit Ninja & Vine
Vine- proposed that all peacefuls (citizens) claim. Thought this would prevent scum from hiding. Town mostly agreed this was a stupid plan, but a few morons went with it.
Fruit ninja- just generally seemed scummy/anti-town

town agreed to rush the construction of the Extra-terrestrial Colonization in order to get a confirmed towny. The plan was that all PRs would contribute 4 production to get the nightly production boost, and all citizens would put in 6 so that we would confirm a citizen in order to A-not risk PRs being easy night kill targets and B- to create a citizen that can't be mislynched (and thus, reduce probablity/frequency that the Doomsday killer can get an extra kill).

No lynch occurred.

Day 2
Top lynch train: Vine, Fruit Ninja

Vine- same basic reasons as yesterday with the addition of the information that the enchantress that died n1 (tapatalk), who was killed by both the DD and the mafia, lured Vine that night, making it possible/probable that Vine was a killer. S/he was lynched and flipped citizen. Plus, with many people voicing their opinions of Vine, the lynch provided a lot of information on living players.

Fruit Ninja- same reasons as yesterday. Ended up claiming (and more or less proving) that s/he is the researcher, so we opted to save this lynch for a day in which we have no good alternative and instead go for Vine.

Construction on ETC from n1 was successful. Candy Crush confirmed as town from the ETC. Candy Crush later revealed as mayor, causing many a groan/facepalm. Candy Crush then hammered Vine 3 hours before day end (making me nearly flip my desk over in frustration) and saddening many who were having a nice discussion that was abruptly cut short.

Vine lynched, flipped citizen, allowing the DD to get a double kill for n2.

Anyone else can feel free to chime in if they feel I've left anything out, but I think that's the gist.

In that case,
May I ask,

What is the current most possible game flow?
How many days we have before lylo?

I think some sense of timing is important for the gaming pace that we are approaching.

If we can not afford too many mislynch, then we need to be careful.
If we can, we must find a way to carefully lay the priority out such as what coc did.

The worst outcome is that we are surrounded by lurkers and scums and yet still mislynched a town.
