Day II: No Blood on Our Hands

(You know the drill refresh till you see it. Yes, the thread is a little bit early... I managed to get everything calculated really fast after the cut off :P, plus you deserve a little extra time seeing as I was late starting Day I right?)

    No Blood on Our Hands

Dawn was peacefully welcomed in New Marais, no one yet anticipating what was about to be uncovered. As the members of the Militia began to arrive at the Forum it was noticed that there were two members missing… Voices from the crowd began to express delight that they had scared the Freaks from their town... and that’s when the alarm rang out.

New Marais police was already on the scene in Ascension Parish where “Verna” was lying facedown on the sidewalk… obviously dead, but without any signs of blood at all. The only noticeable abrasions on the body appeared to be from a blunt object, followed by something that made every single nerve in her body fire at once… totally paralyzing every muscle in her body, including her heart and onsetting rigor mortis hours before the body normally would. Someone in the crowd knew exactly what could do something like that; a bolt of lightning.

Inside Verna’s satchel, the Militia found a large amount of medical supplies and antitoxins that were confiscated. This act appeared to give the people of New Marais new drive... knowing that the freaks are willingly massacring their medical workers. Just as the group was coming to terms with what had happened, the other missing Militia body was found in their home.

Joshua’s” home was not far from where Verna’s body was, a small wooden shack by a lake... There was obvious signs of forced entry as a large hole had been blown in the side of the shack and was visible as the group approached it. The group noticed that water was trickling out of the hole, and from under the door at the front. As they entered the home it was obvious what the cause was… Joshua was sitting in his chair, dead, with a massive glacier protruding his chest, his blood apparently frozen within his veins. The ice was beginning to melt, pouring water all over what was left of the shack. Everything else in the shack was also destroyed: doors off their hinges, photo frames broken and an inside wall had been kicked in.

The Militia didn’t find much of use in the destroyed Shack… it was apparent Joshua was living a relatively peaceful and simple law abiding life.

After the two bodies were buried the remaining Militia leaders entered the old courtroom in the Ville to begin the day's proceedings. Today there was a firing squad waiting outside, silently commissioned by Bertrand, in preparation for the first Freak to be put down. The citizens of New Marais saw them upon entry and were delighted. They were now certain that freaks resided in their town... and they wanted rid of them in the most vengeful way possible.

The Beast is 1200 Miles from New Marais.

The lack of a third party kill is becoming a custom in these games. I'm going to assume the SK is not in this setup until differently proven.

Good morning... Well, not so good by the looks of it. Those freaks sure have crazy ways to kill people, a glacier in someone's chest, oh boy. What will they think of next?

You know, I heard this crazy rumour that there's some beast heading towards the city. If thats the case, why the hell are we locked down in here? Shouldn't we, you know, run for our lives?

Just a thought, don't mind me, what do I know, i'm just a dog.

I just noticed the janitor is a confirmed role. No game has gone far beyond the 6th day, not taking into account the fact that this particular one has a time limit of 5 days unless we manage to kill the beast. Why wouldn't you sanitize your target, when you have 4 attempts?

Do you really think you can outrun the beast?

We should focus on what, or who, is attracting his attention here.

It would explain why there was no sanitization. Can you think of another reason? (Besides afk mafia or something)

You left out a confirmed roleblocker in the red mafia (janitor is orange this time around) and the possibility of one/multiple jailors and escorts. You went straight for the witch. Explain why.

Now you are either claiming witch or witched janitor. I require a better explanation.

one the one hand ralph could have really just thrown his first idea out there without thinking much, on the other hand is indeed a little bit suspicious to only think of the witch (who isn't in the setup neccessarily and could just be randomed) while not mentioning confirmed roles that could also prevent sanitizing. the thing is that we won't know which one it is, because ralph would always tell us that it was only a random thought.

Re: Day II: No Blood on Our Hands

    Hi again,
still missing my cat, have you seen it?

uhm the discussion about the missing janitor is indeed interesting, I for myself doubt that the janitor is afk, we have only a single member who did not show up at all(Olga), another one(Timothy) posted in another forum but not here. I think the host would have brough another one in to take the seat of afk mob, I bet mafia would flame elixir long enough to do as they wish.
So assuming that Olga is not the Janitor (Timothy still suspicious imho) I would guess that the janitor was in any way blocked (escorts, jailers or consorts), but if we assume multiple roleblockers we cant be sure of a missing sk as well.
Two out of three neutral killers have the ability to kill first night so a Arso could also be here. Or the neutral killer choosed not to kill on purpose to trick roleblockers... just realising that janitor could have done the same...
Anyway its to early to make any speculations about a missing sk imho

Also if i read Day 1 right it is the red Mafia which works with electricity and the orange using ice

Reminds me of the Epicmafia "meet the doc": 'I'm the most important powerrole at all. When the cop dies, oh well. When the bomb dies, oh well. But when the doc dies you better start panicing' xD

Also even the dead citizen is bad, masons weren't in a good spot from the beginning, this doesn't make it easier for them...

Day started early: the janitor is not afk.

He either chose not to sanitize (unlikely if you ask me) or his action has been altered in some way. Blocked, jailed, witched are all possibilities.

I don't think the sk chose not to kill, for the same reason the janitor wouldn't. If the janitor was indeed blocked, the chances of a blocked sk are lower. I assume there is an arsonist or unlucky spree killer.

I donno, I'm kinda sceptical. If he were town, how would it help to reveal info like that? But, why would it be beneficial to lie? So it could go either way I guess.

Well the first reason would be to reveal there is a roleblocker, then he could either be saying I'm town don't roleblock me or using the logic that if he weren't town he wouldn't say he was roleblocked.

either way suspicous claim is suspicous

also we don't even know where this roleblock comes from, the only confirmed roleblocker is mafia, so if he is really a town power role, forcing him to claim this way would only attract more roleblocks or even get him killed

You should read the role cards better, Laroche is like revolutionists.

And the neutral killing role could also be a Spree Killer that visited an empty home, or a blocked sk.
