    Re: Traitor (Neutral Benign/Killing)

I do like the concept of an anti-Mafia neutral, but after about 17 seconds I once again realize that I would just like it to be a Town role.

So, I suggest we make it a Town role, not allow it to act on n1, and rename it Vigilante. Good.

How about we change it's killing at night to being immune to death? But if it is town that is too many for having the alignment. Let's give it 1 immunity to death, then make it win ties because only 1 immunity to death is not enough. Solid role.

Like how Vigilantes were originally based off of Serial Killers (or was it vice versa?)

Or how about the fact Escorts and Consorts are basically the same, or the fact Investigators and Consiglieres are basically the same?

Changing alignment changes something atleast. Your role being town friendly is a Vigilante, your role being neutral is a Serial Killer, and your role being Mafia would be a Mafioso. Idea CAN exist on the other side if they fit. Neutral Investigator makes no sense, but Consigliere is perfect as they cause completely different things to happen in the game.

There is the difference that your listened above roles have different use :
1 the escort block the killing , the consort the investigative
2 Investigators can confirm or not the claims of a person , the consigliere... well , he cna do more than of investigate
3 tgis role is the same thing of vigilante : kill off mafia
    So your argument is invalid

Invest tries to find villains (by challenging claims), but Consig mostly tries to learn things to maximize kills. "Sure, Red is a Sheriff, but Blue is a Doctor, so let's kill him so he doesn't save Red." Protective roles, or unrevealed Power roles are the targets. Mafia and Evil Neutrals are main targets for Investigator.

    1. They are not limited to such uses. Blocking bd/witch/arso/bg, you name it. And yes they are the same except for alignment.
    2. Consigliere when in consigliere form cannot do anything more than an invest(well except the cases when they detect exact roles, but then it's becoming too obvious one is consigliere) and when they transform into maf/gf they are not consig anymore.

Neutral Investigator makes no sense, but Consigliere is perfect as they cause completely different things to happen in the game.
Then i suppose there is neutral godfather too? Oh and shared night chat between them because Consigliere is GF's right hand so they should debate about their targets.

You want a neutral killing power role? We have that, we call it Serial Killer. Now if you want a 2nd Mafia then I can get behind that. Several people want that, but the argument for allowing 2 rival Mafias is a different topic than trying to make another Serial Killer with an assistant.

    Re: Traitor (Neutral Benign/Killing)

i like the idea of a Neutral that wants to see Mafia lose... but giving it the power to kill at night make it way to much like the Vigi...

it may as well be a Town role... making a Neutral role that hate the Mafia will always make the role seem to much like a off-shot Town...

like the base idea... but it may not be a good idea

    Re: Traitor (Neutral Benign/Killing)

Give it the twist that Mafia knows who are the traitor.
Included immune at night, however not infiinte - town dies, -1 HP.

If he has, let's say default 3 with option 4 - if enough town dies, he'll commit suicide.
To balance it, leavers N1/2 are counted as non-town deaths.
    Max -1HP per night.

That way, if all town dies by a single Arsonist - it's only 1HP, so you'll still have the chance to revenge on the mafia.

I still don't like this, it just seems out of place and to fiddly
