Since certain Moderators seem to be cracking down on infractions as of late.
Perhaps it's in everyone's best interest that some of the rules are clarified to an extent.

This is the ONLY rule thread that I see, if there is another one, can someone be nice enough to point it out to me? Because either I'm missing something obvious, it's not stickied, it's not there.

Wrong. Akira is also Moderator of the Mafia Channel, yet there are no rules posted in that channel at all.
The fact that I'm even ASSUMING General Channel rules carry over to the Mafia Channel, is lenient of me. Theoretically, the ONLY rule in the Mafia Channel is "Talk about Mafia in general goes here" which is the description of the board itself.


In the Rules, I don't see 'General Beligerance' anywhere. I would suggest to people to look up words, how to spell them, and definitions before you use them. (btw Belligerence: Aggressive or warlike behavior)
Other things I don't see. Signature Rule Violation? Bruno was banned for this. Being an asshat? I also don't see any rules made by any Dark Revenant staff, unless you count the one's that Akira edited made by FalseTruth.

This is my FIRST offense ever.
I WANT TO HUG A PONY NON-SEXUALLY spam = 1 + .5(1) which is... 1.5. so we round that down to 1! OBVIOUSLY 1 = 3 so I earned myself 3 infraction points. yay!



MAYBE I could follow these invisible rules better if I didn't get opposing views from Moderators of the same channel:

tl;dr: Be careful kids, mean mods are mean. But anything Nazi is ok. Because antisemitism against jews is ok. And racism is ok, but saying I WANT TO HUG A PONY NON-SEXUALLY is not ok.

That also includes people who use the "report this post" function out of spite. I actually have a fairly legit and documented case against a Keeper doing just that.
Even if there's a set of rules not everyone is pleased with (it would be pretty much impossible to please everyone with a set of rules) you can always say "See this sticky labeled RULES? Follow that next time and you won't be infracted, asshat." We need clear-cut rules as to what exactly we can say and how we can say it. This will prevent any confusion as to what's acceptable and what isn't to the community, plus it'll make YOUR jobs easier because you don't have to consider each individual post in light of how whiners think about it when they report.

I have to agree though, posting a clear set of 'guidelines' to say the least, can and will make your jobs as moderators easier. You can just say....You broke rule 23..part 4..or something, that way there's a lesser chance people can cry about the infractions you give them. It might even reduce the number of reports you receive when a member realizes that a certain action isn't actually breaking the rules.
