I thought of stirring up an unusual subject that we can discuss, it's about Aliens.

Do you believe in Aliens? Why and why not?

I personally believe Aliens exist, with centillions of tricontillions of systems out there, we can't be the only one with biologic life.
The question of course is, who is the most advanced in technology? Some speculates they have the same technology as us, others say they already got stealth and warp technology.

Do you believe in Aliens? Why and why not?

Your setup is geared towards the existence of humanoid creatures that exist on our frequency and scale and have the capacity to interact with human senses (the 5). It's just such a flawed setup.

Start simple-
Do you believe in life outside of Earth? Sure. Our Galaxy? Sure. Our Universe? I'm not a subscriber of multiverses.

Would we be able to perceive that life? Only a fraction of it. I believe most extraterrestrial life will be imperceivable to humans. Either too large, too small, or even on frequencies humans can't register.

Will we be able to communicate with them? Probably not.
Speech is very limiting. Again, different frequencies could be used, or maybe sound isn't used for communication. Maybe it's vibrations, colors, patterns, movements. Point is, we probably won't be able to communicate if we can even spot it if we could even reach it.

And even if we could communicate to it, who knows if we'd even be on comparable intelligence levels to hold any meaningful transaction of thought.

TLDR: 'Aliens' aren't worth the time or effort.

Humanoid aliens probably do exist. Its a bit hard to believe we are the only humanoid lifeform with this vastness of space. However, we won't be able to establish communications with them for a very long time (unless they conveniently speak english).

they do exist. this isn't really even an opinion it's more of an accepted fact.

Maybe the alien isn't even physical but it's actually made of like electromagnetic fields or radio waves or some shit interacting. What if the radio signals we send out are actually causing genocides and the radio wave people keep sending us back signals begging us to stop but they can only communicate by creating atoms and flinging them at us so we can't even detect them.

Edit: oh shit, what if the Wow! signal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal) was the radio wave aliens sending an interplannetary invasion force to try to stop us from destroying their entire race, but as soon as they entered our atmosphere all the radio waves completely fucked them up and now the last remnants of their civilization honors them as brave heroes that tried to stop the most violent race in the universe but were mercilessly destroyed.

Aliens have to exist, the probability of our planet being the only body with life is so small it's near impossible.

What the aliens look like / are is a different story.
