    New Role - Ledger Keeper

    Town Investigative

    day action - provide the target with a piece of paper on which to write a message.

    result - at night the target player will receive the piece of paper and may freely type a message to the Ledger Keeper and he will receive the message on the following day.

    pros - can be used to take roles and leads anonymously.

    cons - cant communicate back (scums can lie on the note)

    effect - blackmailer will prevent a message from being written back if targeted on the same day/night. framer would switch whatever he has written in his last will with the message that would originally get sent to the Ledger Keeper. and janitor would read any sent messages during their death. coroner would also have access to the information from a dead player.

    in addition the Ledger Keeper would still technically visit the house *to pick up the note* so he would still die to mass murderer and possibly burn someone if he was doused.

    if he is witched he will not receive any message unless he just so happens to be witched to the same target that he gave the note to.
    in other words if he is witched or his target is bus driven it makes his target look very suspicious.

    overall - its strong town sharing information but can also swing to harmful with mafia intervention.

    I like the concept, I think it could allow for information to be transmitted without necessarily making it too easy for the town to win. Just a thought though, what if this role was neutral benign?

    You are a bureaucrat who doesn't really care who wins as long as you can keep your job. Your goal is to survive until the end of the game so that you can go home to your wife and kids. Once per day, you may pick a player and anonymously provide them with a piece of paper on which to write a message. At night, the target player will receive the piece of paper and may freely type a message to the Ledger Keeper and he will receive the message on the following day. Thanks to the letterhead on the paper, the Ledger Keeper's identity is revealed to anyone he passes the note to.

    I think this could provide the game with another Amnesiac-like dimension. If the LK (Ledger Keeper) reveals himself to a town, and the town puts the LK's identity in his will, then the LK will have a far harder time trying to side with the Mafia/Triad, or vice-versa. Or perhaps he can play different sides against each other. There could be an achievement where the player gets points for being the last player left or one of two players left (would that first one even be possible?). Anyway, I like the idea, seems my "thought" turned into more of an essay though. Good concept!
