    New town Role: Bartender

    Role name: Bartender
    Alignment: Town, investigative.
    Abilities: Invites players to a party and collect information.
    Win Condition: Win with town.

    The bartender ability lets him choose 3 (4 optionnal) players during the day that will go to the bar the next night.

    All players in the bar are role-blocked for the night.
    All players in the bar can talk to each other during the night, that includes the bartender of course.
    Names are invisible to everyone in the bar except for the bartender.

    The bartender can mix a drug into the drinks and give it to one player present in the bar during the night, that player will then reveal its role to the bartender only but will have no memory of doing so.

    The bartender can only throw a party every 3 nights (4 nights optionnal).


    Hope that idea hasn't been thrown already

    This role would need some work but I like the premise.

    What about this?

    Bartender - neutral, all who visit the bartender are immune (as bar is a public place), but roleblocked. Bartender will slip one person (at random) a drug that reveals their role. Cannot talk during day, as he's asleep.

    Also, all who visit bartender are in night chat. Only Bartender sees names.

    I would remove the asleep part. It would be very easy to figure out who he is plus he wouldn't be very fun if he can't talk during the day.

    What would be his goal being neutral ?

    @ all others, I understand it's powerful but keep in mind he cannot use ability every night (it was mentionned)
    I haven't done something very precise it's just an idea. If it's this powerful then maybe he can only use his ability once per game...

    Or the role-blocking might not be mandatory, I thought it was making sense in terms of RP. Idea was if a mafia or cult gets into the bar, he wouldn't be able to chat with his crew, thus probably not able to take any action.

    It's open for modification and no it was no trolling.

    Yea I understand where you are coming from, it is a good idea I just don't think it would work well inside SC2 mafia in its current form but maybe after tweeking it will be more appleaing.

    Name: Ian
    Alignment: Town
    Description: The loving friend of the Head of Personnel and true savior of the space station
    Abilities: If Ian is killed by the Mafia or a Neutral Killer, all scum suicide for being the monsters they are. Ian cannot be lynched or killed by town.

    1) Can do a total RB on up to 3/4 players each night?!? Seriously?!? Compare this to escort who can only RB 1 person each night, and that’s not even a total RB. Again, seriously?

    2) Confirmable town role which can create a night chat for up to 3/4 players. That alone might be an okay suggestion (even though something very similar has been suggested previously). However, combined with other abilities... really?

    3) Detects exact role, making it an OP Sheriff. That ability alone would make it highly OP in your average setup (Investigator already has this option, even though it is very rarely used). However, combined with other abilities... again, really?


    This is one of those cases where if this is a troll thread, troll in circlejerk, not MD. If this is a serious thread... REALLY?!?

    Bartender's role would be to survive and see mafia lose, as they have been collecting "security fees" from him for far too long.

    Bartender can rb multiple people in a night, but he cannot choose anyone to rb. Anyone who visits him knows who he is. He cannot vote, but can talk to influence things. The drug thing could be removed. I just kept it to be as close to the original idea as possible.

    The role of Ian is far too powerful. Let's see here. Cannot be lynched and all suicide if mafia kills him. This role is practically an autowin for town. Maybe he can be lynched and the particular scum/failor/dumb vig that kills (or lights) him dies regardless of immunity.
