    All About Renata

After postponing it for months someone finally got me to tab out of sc2 and make an account on the Mafia forums.
So I guess I should say a few things about myself.

My name is Renata, I'm 27 years old and live with my foster family in a Canadian small town. Ever since I was a child I've had a knack for computers and it's safe to say I spent more time growing up in cyberspace than anywhere else, where I developed a passion for online gaming through the blizzard classics (SC:BW, D1&D2, WCIII and later on WoW). Despite having little to complain about, I find myself at a general dissatisfaction towards life partly due to it's unanswered questions and the fact it always ends in death. I'm a strong believer in personal freedom, individualism and against parentalism. Been playing sc2Mafia for about a year and half now and never once considered switching to town of salem or thought about trying forum mafia, really stepped up my game these past few months as a means to keep myself distracted from some really harsh difficulties and the binge has proven itself quite effective. This year however, I plan to cut back so I can focus and allocate more time for the other aspects of my life. I can be real lazy so you have more chance to reach me on sc2 than catching me online in the forums. Other than Mafia and Arcade I enjoy Single Player RPGs and online sandbox games like Minecraft and Rust.

Nice to meet y'all, hope we Mafia soon!

Classic INTJ. The meaning of life is simple: Figure out what you want to do in life, and go achieve it.

I disagree. As long as there is a correlation between the classification and the behaviors observed, I think it deserves at least some merit. Furthermore, the general categorizations help give guidance on how to initially interact with the individual, which could reduce conflict.

Astrology, on the other hand, does not help predict a person's behavior (or at least there aren't any studies suggesting this), or has any other use (except maybe to interact with girls), which makes it pseudoscience.

I wasn't stating an opinion; It's a well-known, researched fact that it is not a reliable test.

Of course, vague generalizations have their use in the day-to-day interactions with other people, and the MBTi indicator is one of a gazillion ways which help you ease this process, albeit in a highly unreliable way.
As for astrology being a pseudoscience, so is the MBTI.

Just because some evidence supports that it is not reliable does not make it unreliable. There are two sides to the story:
    https://epm.sagepub.com/content/46/3/745
    https://epm.sagepub.com/content/62/4/590

Also, your articles do not dismiss the MBTI as pseudoscience, it merely states that it does not warrant its use in the organizational setting because of lack of sufficient research. Also, take another look at my claim: "I think it deserves at least some merit." None of your articles dismisses it as pseudoscience and simply highlights certain problems of the MBTI, including re-test reliability or causal relationship between the indicator and the behavior. The strongest conclusion that your articles seem to draw is that its prevalent use in the organizational setting is not warranted because of the "questionable" results. Even the authors of your articles suggest that it warrants further study.

Thus, you were stating an opinion, and an incorrect opinion at that, and misusing the results of the studies in hopes that the readers will be duped and warded off by long articles.

But with that being said, they were good articles, although I feel that their conclusions were not sufficiently backed by the data.

Just do SLOAN/Big 5, problem solved. Almost the same as MBTI but it adds in another component and is accepted in the psychological community.

[Edit] You know what? just knock yourself out and do some of these: https://similarminds.com/personality_...l#.V9SZdpgrIz7

Renata, the only one to defend my bodyguard claim with 4 max in the setup, amnesiac impossible, and 4 dead bodyguards in the graveyard!! ( I was bodyguard, a glitched 5th)!!

I think if you practice and focus on improving you have potential to be extremely good. I would recommend reading a game or two and then trying a FM game and working on what you are good at. Also, if anybody says you are playing the wrong way and to do x instead of y, don't listen to them because they suck at the game anyway and have no idea what they are talking about. Use your own style, and make it work.

Also #free mckd, playing on smurfs is not helping the mckd # spread.
