Edit: 08/05/2020 This guide is over-complicated, a newer guide is located here: https://www.sc2mafia.com/forum/showth...your-bank-file
I've noticed lots of people seem to be losing their hard-earned points and achievements, etc.
The following is a guide on how to back up your "Banks" files. Bank files store your points, achievements, settings, nearly everything custom game related, etc.
Bank files are stored locally on your own computer, they are not stored on Blizzard's servers or anywhere else.
This creates a few problems.
-You can lose your points if you accidentally delete your bank files due to re-installation of SC2, your OS, etc
-They do not transfer to a new installation of StarCraftII on a different computer(or elsewhere).
-Your points do not show if you are on a different computer, even if you log in with the same battle.net account
This guide is intended to show you how to take precautions against losing your data, this method also saves your bank data from other custom games such as Marine Arena, Desert Strike, etc

The Procedure
#1
First you head to:
Windows: C://Users/"Username"/Documents/StarCraftII/accounts/"random numbers"/"#-S2-#-#######"
Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/"Username"/Library/application support/blizzard/Starcraft II/accounts/"random numbers"/"#-S2-#-#######"
Note:Anything in quotation marks ("") means you have to replace that with whatever your username/ID is.
Note to Mac Users:
In Mac OS X 10.7 and above(Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks), the Library folder is hidden by default, to show it copy and paste "chflags nohidden ~/Library/" into the terminal app and press enter. It should now appear in your User folder next to documents, downloads, etc folder. To hide it again use "chflags hidden ~/Library"
You can also use the "Go" menu in Finder. Bring Finder to the front and click "Go" on the top, hold down the "alt Option" key and then click the "Library" option that appears. From there on, navigate into "Application Support" and so on.
NOTE:
"#-S2-#-#######" is your unique handle, used for... Stuff(such as donor codes) "#" could be any number
Pro-Tip:
There usually is a shortcut in the "StarCraftII" folder that will take you directly to the data associated with your character (i.e. the "#-S2-#-#######" folder).
#2
In your folder named with your handle, you should see a "Banks" folder.
Copy that "Banks" folder into wherever you think would be safe or convenient for you, examples are:
- Cloud Storage such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft Skydrive, etc
- A flash drive/External HDD
- Your Desktop
Pro-Tip:
You can use software such as "Everyday Auto Backup"(suggested by Sureiya) to automatically copy the banks folder at set intervals of time to another location(E.g. Your Dropbox folder/External HDD).
#3 (Optional)
To put the banks data back into your StarCraftII installation, go to the same directory from Step #1 and simply replace the banks folder there with your backup. As a general rule, you should delete your bad Banks folder THEN move the backup in. If you merge the folders there may be problems.
Pro-Tip:
You can put the banks data into a new installation of StarCraftII on another computer.
