Imo it's just that time of year, holidays are coming up, school has started, etc. Happened last year too, activety just starts to decline as we move towards december.

I am just not interested in the setup. Maybe that's reason why others didn't /sign as well.

You described this as S:TGoS's "little brother", and I did not enjoy that game/setup. The pairing mechanic (present in both of these setups) seemed cool in theory, but in practice it was imbalanced: Lynching a scum from a 1-scum-group automatically confirms 1-4 players as town and forcing scum to kill from a certain group gives lookouts 20% chance of catching the mafioso (Before even considering player value and reads) to only name those two. So yeah, not interested. Not even Calix could make me /sign for this.

It has nothing to do with flavor. RLVG's game filled up relatively quickly despite lacking RP. Flavor isn't what attracts people: it is rarely even talked about in games Gyrlander doesn't participate in.

Cryptonic, deathworlds, and SuperJack all have given a polite response as to why the signups aren't filling quickly. Sure, they make valid points, but they do not explain why RLVG's game is full and yours is not, despite the RLVG signups being opened 4 days after yours.

You can take the blue pill presented by Crypt, DW, and SJ, or you can take the more realistic red pill.

The first game with the pairing mechanic wasn't a success. Granted, there were many great ideas that looked cool in theory, but they just didn't work out as planned in practice. When you see that some mechanics are defective/imbalanced, you should go back to the drawing board and either readjust them accordingly or totally remove them from the game. [Probably the latter. I doubt there's a lot of interest in this idea again.] In any case, creating a signup thread after having omitted to make some much needed adjustments feels like you are being oblivious to what happened in the previous game.

I doubt this game will fill up with this in mind.

You can, but you really don't have to. You could post-pone the game and take some time to polish the setup a little more with the outcome of S:TGoS in mind.

I mean, it seems difficult for just about everyone.

The day lynching if you're town is like 50/50 to be right.

So there's certainly swing aspect there.

The fact that about 2/3 of town can't be lynched in one go is kind of annoying tbh. It's kind of like 'follow the cop' broken as long as that setup has a protective role who protects the basically confirmed town.

So there's the aspect of a potential game breaker.

Incredible Swing + Possible broken game = lol, let's push buttons and see what happens :P

I'm still in, but this is by no means a passable setup for balance. Lol.
