Uh, except we got our capital torched, failed to invade Canada, were blockaded by the British Navy which crippled trade, and had chunks of the country being occupied at different times (Maine, New York, etc.). It was pretty much a stalemate by the end, with the only real losers being the Native Americans who got steamrolled in subsequent decades without European protection.
