Spigot was at one time perma-banned. He was abusing the game hardcore on smurf accounts and I perma-banned his main (This account) for it. At a later date we had a long conversation which ended in him being unbanned and he has played legit sense then. I won't take any rash action on this until its been properly reviewed.

Sooo if im getting this right you can :

Abuse the game multiple times -> make some smurfs to keep doing it -> get perma banned -> have some sketchy conversation to unban a perma ban(wtf preferential treatment??) -> Play legit and admit hacks on a sketchy game.

Shouldnt perma ban be perma?

It's a misguided story. He was originally banned for causing multiple leave trains. To which he reacted badly and went on a rage with smurf accounts.
After a while we had a civil discussion with him where we decided to give him another chance since then he has played without causing any problems.

I've watch the replay and the claimed to rolehacking just seemed fake and in reaction to his anger at the setup.

He found the Dragonhead because he was the escort and tried to block him, only to get the message he was immune.
He then tried to roleblock the vigilante (who was also jailed) If he was rolehacking he would not try and roleblock him.
And he then roleblocked the enforcer who was one of the people who guilted him and when no kill happened he was obviously the enforcer.

The rolehack just looks like a fake claim.

Nothing at all has been donated by him.
Donations have 0 effect on anything other than cosmetics.

Ever since we have uplifted his ban (Which now was quite a while ago) there have been 0 reports on him made.

We are most likely going to do something about the fake role hacking claim, as we are in the works to make public rules against it. We are just waiting for the report to be officially processed by a keeper.

Day 1: Spams he will role-hack and gamethrow multiple times.
Night 1: Role blocks 3- receives role block immunity feedback.
Day 2: Spams 3 is role block immune and 3 is trialed. 3 (Dragon head) claims Doctor. Onelast knows he can't be doctor, so guilties with the day resulting in a no-lynch
Night 2: Role blocks 1.
Day 3: Judge reveals, 3 is lynched and flips Dragon Head.
Night 3: Role blocks 6, triad does not kill.
Day 4: Says 6 is last triad, 6 provides inadequate defense and is lynched flipping Enforcer.

After this, nothing major happens, resulting in the Arson being lynched and town winning the game.

Thank you for the report! After reviewing the replay, I have concluded that the player is not guilty of Role hacking. Night 1 they found the dragon head by role blocking them and getting a role block immunity message, and then the doctor claim tipped it off. Night 3, after watching the player look through the list and concluding that (4 and 6) both voted guilty on the Escort and innocent on the Dragon Head, i can see how he got to the point of role blocking 6 and having the triad not kill. I will say however, that fake role hacking is a crime itself, and for this reason I will be giving them the crime of griefing. Fake Role hacking should not be used no matter the circumstance.

I realize no matter what is set here people will be upset. Please keep an open mind when reading this.

The normal punishment for a player that was previously perma-banned and given a 2nd chance is to go right back to a perma-ban. The difference in this situation is that the players offense was pretending to hack which qualifies as griefing. Unfortunately this was never applied to the in game rules or effectively publicized in a way that would create a reasonable expectation that the player could have known it was a rule at all. This means that punishing this player would be punishing him for something we could not have expected him to know was against the rules. Pushing to lynch a player that came up as role block immune is a more confirmed tell than a sheriff guilty result in the mod and pushing to lynch a player that was role blocked with no scum kill is more than reasonable. With these things in mind it would be unethical to punish him under the model of utilitarianism that game moderation functions off of. If this offends you blame my unbanning him in the first place but do not fault the system or the player for these actions.

Player will receive a custom WL message instructing against pretending to hack so that he is informed. If this issues comes up again he will be held accountable for breaking a known rule.
