1. It's super expensive.
2. It gives the mafia more information than it gives us.
3. It may be available later and would give us just as much information then as it would now, just then it would be more useful.
The only thing I think we may want to buy today is the Investigator buff, because apparently, if we even have one right now, he doesn't even know what the investigation pairings are, so he's absolutely useless. Giving him exact role will allow him to start getting some real information and we can crack down on the mafia.
1. Not really, we still get substantial interest if we buy it.
2. Not necessarily, as a. we don't know if the mafia could potentially buy it yet, and b. a private group ultimately has more information and honest collaboration.
3. It could be, but I don't like to gamble that much.
I'll be back later.
1. I'm talking the difference between having 11.2b yen tomorrow and having 25.6b yen tomorrow. Remember that a purchase costs us not only what is on the price tag, but also in the lost income from the interest on our remaining cash.
2. You're talking about spending 14.4b yen on a roles list that will give the mafia more information than it does us because "We don't know if they can buy it on their own?" Yeah no. I'm not going for that.
3. Depending on how exactly Deathfire does the random.org selection process, it has roughly a 50% chance of being available every day from now on. The probability of it being available again within just the next 2 days is then roughly 75%. That's damn good odds, especially for something I'm not even sure we want to buy in the first place.
If purchased, when do the actual item start taking effect?
Such as, when the item has sufficient votes right now, will it be released immediately, or will it be released at the end of the day?
Hello everybody.
As Goremancer is unavailable due to a little favor granted by a mod, I'm stepping in for him.
There are a some things I'd like to comment on.
1)There are no neutrals. So everybody that is not Mafia is Town. It isn't helpful to look scummy because the Mafia knows exactly that you are Town trying to look scummy in order to not get killed. Thus let's all try to be very productive in helping each other and weeding out scum. I implore you to not lurk.
2)As the open roles list is still an option today, but not the graveyard information, I suggest a role claim day. And I suggest role claiming BEFORE we buy the roles list. The Mafia doesn't know our roles (expect for the pretty much guaranteed Citizens). Forcing them to claim a role might make the lynch today into a no-brainer. Plus we have a good idea about the role of someone dying next night as we can't buy the graveyard.
As for role-claiming, I'd like those who didn't vote for the graveyard yesterday to claim first. Following the list of players that DID vote:
Glip, Clementine, Duzero, AppleyNO, Goremancer (Phyr)
Do not keep voting for the Open Roles List right now. If we buy it, we should make the most out of it by combining it with a mass role claim.
My opinion on all the perks:
Simple Role List:
Shows how many town vs. non-town. 2B yen
Okay for a first look on how the distribution is. I'm leaning towards 9vs4.
Closed Role List(Common):
Shows how many power roles vs. how many mafia power roles. 5B yen
Will reveal if the Mafia got a Mafioso. Not very helpful in my opinion.
Open Role List:
Shows every single role in the game. 9B yen
This is the real deal. It is super strong, but must be used with care.
Graveyard Information:
Shows who died and what role the person was in the graveyard. 3B yen
A must buy. We might not have a Coroner and every kill without this peak is actually a clean.
Investigation Results:
Shows the pairings that an investigator or consigliere would get when they check someone (be warned neither might be in the game). 5B yen
Buy only AFTER somebody claims Investigator and reveals result. Probably better to not buy at all.
Death Types:
Shows how a person died(by mafia/by vigilante/etc.) 2B yen
Not very helpful. A waste for money.
Mayor Buff:
Give the mayor an extra vote when claimed (There may not be a mayor)(This also works for doublevoter) 1.5B yen
Situational. Buy only to break a tie.
Doctor Buff:
Can protect person from all deaths, not just one attack (There may not be a doctor) 2.5B yen
Two attacks on the same player are unlikely to happen. Not worth the money.
Sheriff Buff:
Tell the sheriff which type he is. (There may not be a sheriff or misinformed sheriff) 2B yen
On the meh side of the perks. Situational.
Vigilante Buff:
The Vigilante can give away one of his two guns. (There may not be a vigilante) 3.5B yen
If this adds a kpn/shot instead of shifting it, this might actually be a worthwhile buy.
Investigator Buff:
Detects exact role. (There may not be an investigator) 5.5B yen
Depends on the investigation pairings. Probably not worth the cost.
Coroner Buff:
Results are directly transmitted to the town via the Opening post. (There may not be a coroner) 4B yen
Waste of money, if the graveyard information was bought (which is actually less expensive).
Detective Buff:
Can see who the person that they follow visits and who the person that was visited by the person they followed visits as well (There may not be a detective) 2B yen
Actually two trackings if you hit a PR. A buy to consider.
Lookout Buff:
Can see everyone who visits someone and what actions were performed on that person (There may not be a lookout) 3.5B yen
This is awesomesauce. Really strong, if the open roles list wasn't bought.
Enchantress Buff:
Can also repel people as well (There may not be an enchantress) 2B yen
Meh. Not worth the cost.
Escort Buff:
Has a one-time use ability where she can choose who to block during the day and chat with that person during the night. (There may not be an escort) 3B yen
Prevents the possibility to block a Mafia kill. What's the point then?
Whore Buff:
Give em another charge of whorin' (There may not be a whore) 2B yen
Not a fan.
Vengeful Buff:
Person they take with them doesn't have to be someone who voted them (There may not be a vengeful) 3B yen
Not anywhere near worth the money.
Bodyguard Buff:
Instead of dying and taking someone with them, they can intercept a shot and redirect it to someone of their choice (Will affect death type) (There may not be a bodyguard) 2.5B yen
This is actually really strong. Me gusta. Buy if we have one.
Multi-Lynch Day:
Buy a day of multiple lynches where you can lynch two people instead of one! 7.5B yen!
Strong. Comes in very handy, if Town is close to loosing.
Last Wills:
You can use em 3.5B yen
Totally worth the money.
1. I'm well aware of that, and I addressed it in early posts as being negligible.
2. You have not quantified how it gives the mafia "more information". Let me guess, you're going to piggyback on clementine's former criticism, which she has now partially retracted?
3. You're assuming that he is using random.org to determine what's on sale.

Out of sheer curiosity, why ask this question privately and not share the information with town?
I am all for mass roleclaiming today and then buying the open role list. Would give scum nowhere to hide once they claim a role such as investigator and there were no investigators on the list, as well as help us better allocate our resources.
Oh right, Duzero was replaced by Gingerape, Goremancer was replaced by Phyr, and I'm super close to replacing Bahkieh

Is Day 24 or 48 hours? I was under the impression that it was 24 hours, but whatever.
Let's get this mass role claim rolling. I have one request, and that is to claim after Glip claims, simply because yes, I have information on you.
I also suggest someone keep track of the lynch for buying the open role list and hammer it as soon as everyone claims or if it's an hour before day ends. IF ANYONE HAMMERS BEFORE THEN, YOU ARE ON THE TOP LIST FOR BEING SCUM. Hopefully, if we find conflicting claims, we have a chance to lynch someone, but that doesn't seem too likely at the moment, unless everyone gets on within the next 12 hours. It'd be nice if someone could compile a list of the claimed roles too. Errands, anyone?
All players: You are expected to role claim after this post. If you do not before the end of the day, we will consider you scum and employ all of town's resources towards you.
I think mass role claim and the buying the roles list is genius... we need everyone on board though for this to work out... I'm not trusting Capitaliers need to hide information, usually only mafia would ask questions in pm, unless he was asking about his specific role...
I doubt we will get consensus on this idea, because theres no way mafia would agree to it... I don't really care, my roles useless... or is it?... so everyone come online and get yo claim on
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
I ask that Clementine claims after me if possible... not before
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
I just got here and i have to roleclaim!?
SHENANIGANS.
If you have information on me, I would suggest that you claim first (after we get most of the town to agree to this plan, not now) and state your info. That way, rather than me claiming first and giving you a free out to fake your info, I would instead be confirming your claim.
someone else has already claimed their info on you Glip
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
Still pending on his role claim first before I say anything.
I insist, Glip. I cannot foresee any situation where my night actions, no matter what role I am, can be used to forge a role claim based on what you claim. After all, you volunteered first to claim anyway, yes? I could have just kept my trap shut and let you role claim first either way. I just thought I'd say it to make sure you know someone is keeping tabs on your claim.
kk I don't want to do this... but it'll give doctor a target and hopefully we can buy my buff and get this party started... but I am Investigator... and Clem is Escort/Consort/Whore... I suggest everyone claim now and hopefully I survive tomorrow xD
Edit: coloured Investigator to fit in

Yes, however, my being town does not confirm you as an insane sheriff (or a misinformed one, whatever he's calling it). I want to hear if Sumi is another Sheriff or an Investigator, and if she is Investigator, what the result she got on me was.
I state that I am a Citizen, and that I offer myself up to be lynched today.
However, I would like to state that if Sumi is Investigator and also got a guilty verdict upon me, then my lynch will confirm Capitalier as a SANE sheriff, and that there is a framer in the game.
My questions weren't useless, Cappy :*(
hmmm Scumilurko... if you are the other sheriff then it really doesnt matter if he claims first... because the other sheriff has claimed... unless your detective or lookout and trying to get him to say shitizen :P
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
I'm still kinda busy reading Enclave night chat. But I will get my claim out of the way. I am Citizen. After finishing my read, I will compile the claims and perk votes and lynch votes.
Dang. If Glip claims what I think he'll claim, and I know my own role, town's going to completely dominate this game.
Okay... Upon seeing Glip's claim, he didn't claim what I thought he'd claim.
Are you sure about your claim, Glip? It does not match with my information about you.
your information on him?.... unless you seen him visit someone... I doubt you are another invest.. and if you are the other sheriff it should make perfect sense.... you ask everyone else to claim Y U NO CLAIM
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
I am 100% certain that I am a Citizen. I could not have visited anyone last night. I did not receive any feedback messages last night. I am not a PR trying to wifom Citizen.
I suggest you lynch me. If you are an investigator or detective and received any result other than the citizen pairing or that I visited no one, then I have been framed, and this will confirm Cappy as a sane Sheriff.
I doubt any mafia would come out with fake claims to get a Citizen lynched.
I don't believe SirBlayz for a moment. Does the investigator still know what the pairings are, even though they haven't been bought yet? If no, then we should lynch Blayz for making an obvious false claim. If yes, then things start getting tricky...
you doubt that anyone would fake claim citizen... but it makes perfect sense to fake claim invest and give your findings on someone that could easily counter claim them... you are a genius Glip xD
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
By the way, there will be no retraction of role claims. Town PRs, please do not claim citizen and then later claim your real role, saying it's for protection.
Okay. Well.
I am the detective. I followed Glip last night and he visited Clementine.
Currently inspecting the possibility of Glip and Blayz on the same Mafia team, with Glip being the consig and Blayz in the same mafia as him.
I didn't say that I doubt anyone would fake claim citizen. I said that I doubt they would fake claim a PR with findings on a Citizen and attempt to get that Citizen lynched.
You're right. It doesn't make sense to fake claim invest and give your findings on someone that could easily counter claim them. This is why I don't believe that Sumi or Cappy are scum.
I only doubt you because I believed that because the Investigator Pairings aren't bought yet, then you shouldn't know the role pairings for what she can be, and would only receive a message along the lines of "Your target spends a lot of time with people at night." Depending on what Deathfire has to say about my previous question, I may reevaluate my assumptions.
Welp... we got our first lead... there is no witch in game so that means either Glip is lying or Scumilurko is lying... and although I believe Scumi is lying because of her hesitation, the best bet would be to lynch Glip... because its better to lose citizen then town PR... but I have a funny feeling Scumi is lying through her teeth...
-Vote Glip
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
also, if mafia was smart they would not target Glip... there are way better targets out there, that are more then likely to be checked day 1... like Clem for example... so I'mma call BS of framer
Spoiler : FM History :Spoiler : BLAZER 2012!!!!! :
Threat of consig still out there. But we'll know soon enough whether an invest is in the game or not. And if Blayz somehow gets confirmed and there is no escort/whore in the game, we can lynch Clem and be down one scum.
Investigators typically get an investigation pairing, so no red signals there for me from Blayz. Not yet at least.
However, Blayz, no sane Mafia member would claim detective, of all roles. It's a role that Mafia doesn't have, and hard as hell to duplicate. I'd either have to be extremely lucky, or I'd be outing my own Mafia members. So, no, if you were choosing between me and Glip to see who's lying, your bet goes to Glip first. However, I'm not willing to lynch Glip yet, because lynching him does not confirm Cap's alignment if he is paranoid.
Also, Blayz, how do you know there is no... witch? Because there is one... It's mafia aligned. Rut roh. Scum slip already? Consig? No witch on your team? Great.
When a Mafia witch forces a visitation, will the witch's target receive a feedback message?
it makes me wonder about both of them then... Scumilurko and Capitalier... why would you check Glip n1 out of all the people?
