1) SK isn't guaranteed to be found on Day 1. Again 1 in 14 (slightly more if rand neutrals are in play).
2) Just because a jailor does his roleblock doens't mean his target is guilty. SK could be AFK.
3) If the Jailor doesn't make a LW of who he has jailed each night he was able to jail that is his fault. NOTHING ANYONE cna say would be a good cuase not to have an up-to-date last will.

I have numerical data that shows I have a balanced save based on Town/NonTown winning ratios. Over 70 games on my save and i'm at a 1.12:1 ratio. Not to shabby, so go fuck youself I have no more time for you.

Really all you are doing is bitching and moaning abotu things you don't like, when in reality other people like these options... this game is not supposed to be attuned to what you think is fair or just... this game has been played for many years, in many different forms... the mods and the creator maticulously tested this game for balance and worked hard to make it customizeable... there is only so much you can put into a game before you run out of space... there is tons of additions we could add in to make people that don't play the game often like yourself, happy... but there is no room, and frankly some of the suggestions sound like whiny QQ'in because of derp townies... regardless if you were in a good game with good people jailor would be used properly... whether it can execute day 1 or not is a moot point... if jailors a failor hes gonna execute people whenever he wants... changing it to no lynch on day one only makes it harder for proper jailors to do their job...

So townies gonna derp... there are trolls everywhere... changing this is not going to help it... they have worked very hard on this game... if you don't like it don't play it... for those of us who have logic and skill... and don't wet our diapers everytime we get a derp town(gonna happen a lot)... we will play Mafia the way it's meant to be played....

Balanced setups are impossible, and with the ability to customize, it's a tradeoff for imbalance. Even in pretty balanced setups, things can still just go wrong. The SK can kill Mafia two nights in a row for instance, or the SK dies/leaves day one, or the Town loses its only Invest/Sheriff early on.

Noticing trends, common lies, impossible role claims, and the like. There will be players that are eating, watching tv, and generally not caring that much. There are the players that are going to play terrible so they can get off, there will be the players that really don't understand how the game works, and finally there will the players that are cheating.

Set ups can certainly be balanced as roles and the role options are concerned. However, balancing the human factor will always be impossible.

This is quite true.
However, there are some players that take the game seriously but troll the town unexpectedly through a mixture of misreading their role, or following voting patterns in the wrong way.

Impossible yes, but given my current save it bounching somehwere between 1.08-1.23:1 town/non Town ratio it is the cloest i've seen.
That ratio bouces due to the things ambient tlkaed about as well as I made a great effort to try and put as many 'random' roles into the save as possible
I don't want to speak too soon, I might be able to tweak it alittle more with some of the sub-options, but I think until a new major patch comes out I have achieved the most balanced save from a mechanical standpoint you can get. Sadly alot of people don't like it casue it involes 2 mafia instead of the standard 3. But I offset this will an established Arson, only 2 established Invest roles (invest/Det), and 2 neutrals.
While some people claim that the ratio should be set up for Town:Mafia I balanced from a Town:NonTown. So dpeending on your perspective it is balanced.

This thread has degenerated into mindless attacks on others from a simple discussion of mechanics (which already has a thread on it, as Ambient has pointed out). If this continues it should be in Circlejerk or closed...

My own two cents: Do not punish a town role's powers because of stupid trolls, the individual player is an integral component of this game. I recently played like 15 games when I got back, I haven't seen a bad execute in any of them.

Jailors have unique powers yes, but that's what makes it such a powerful and useful role. Once you start trying to try "curing" troll behavior by modifying the role itself you start affecting balance and the character of the games.

Again, the simplest solution is to convince the people you play with that night start in jailor declared setups is more balanced and thus more fun as result. Make it the norm, and you won't have to worry about it anymore. Or just host the game, it's not a big deal.
