Archangel - Troll saves and Ruining games

I have had the displeasure of being part of a few games where "Archangel" was the host. He is repeatedly the host because when the players -repick a host with no save it automatically defaults to the person with the most points.

Archangel uses his saves to ruin the game by making the settings unfavorable to certain factions. For example, he gives the Veteran "Infinite Alerts" while conversly nerfing roles like godfather and serial killer. TGaking away their immunity to detection, immunity at night, immunity to role blocks etc. In addition, he disables trials, and makes certain roles impossible.

For example. Random Mafia: Exclude killing roles, exclude power roles. Because the random mafia cannot be any of the available roles, the godfather ends up alone. Then the godfather settings have been changed to say "Cannot attack without Mafioso". Because there are no Mafioso, the Godfather cannot kill, or do anything but wait to die.

All in all, Archangel's saves are not fun, he makes his name too long, and spams the chat whenever he feels like it. I am sure that other players have the same grievances with Archangels playing that I do.

Hope you can keep a close eye on him from now on.

All people have to do is type -repick if i get host, idiots these days.

If they don't like my save, deal with it, it's a well balanced save if you know how to play the game.

-no trial, insta-lynch upon vote
-SK, GF, Arsonist can be killed at night
-GF can be detected by Sheriff
-Vet has unlimited alerts (I think I put that on)
-Framer can be detected
-two jailors, one vet, one mayor - all confirmed roles

This save is just bending the game rules in my favor, I am just using game mechanics to my advantage, that is strategy.

Dark Revenant removed the tutorial option, but left options for complete troll saves. He allows the day/night slider to be MAXED to 5 minutes each. He allows you to use three trial-options, including "majority" (insta-lynch). He has all these fucking options you can select, he allows CHOICE!

So Burnt, if you want someone to truly fucking hate, hate the Dark Revenant for allowing troll saves. DERPY DERP!!!

This seems perfectly normal
If no one has immunity, then it's fair.
And Detection just makes it harder to be mafia, but insta-lynch easily screws over town.

Only problem I see is the settings on Mafia.
I don't see how exclude killing and exclude power makes the GF alone.. I am guessing it's also exclude support?

You make it so there is a consig and blackmailer that don't become mafioso when they die. Then you put in a Godfather that can't kill without mafioso.

This way kids don't just repick you as soon as they see 1 godfather.

Actually i said it right.Mafia didnt have a blackmailer or consig...and if they did i couldnt see them or talk to them at night. remember consig and blackmailer are power roles, so they are excluded from random mafia. The starting strength for mafia was 1.1. I was alone as godfather, no immunity to detection or night death. \unable to kill without mafioso [there wasn't one] so godfather sits there unable to do anything at all. waiting for town to detect themand lynch them for easy town win.

Everyone is entitled to their own save. It's up to the other players to repick if they, as a whole, feel it's a "unbalaced, crappy" save.

This thread is useless and meaningless. There's already a system that allows you to avoid what you feel is a bad setup. Nothing to come from this thread at all.

People call my saves a bit trollish, but honestly I get tired of playing the same exact save every time, but then these same people that are annoyed with that too leave at anything that's different. I never quit because of a save, no matter how dumb it may be. I enjoy experimenting with my saves, but it's hard to know if it's actually a good setup because there's always leavers that throw the game out of whack just because they see something different.

To be fair the phrase 'troll save' is used way to much.
I have all my saves not use
'immune at night' for all killing roles. Does that make my save a troll save, no.
It just has
to be balanced.

As far as archangel. Ya he is a troll- so why are you all still feeding him?
