Auto repick (at random) should kick in if the host has not changed any settings within 10 seconds.
Should be easy to implement.

Good idea
That... is silly. It usually takes more than 10 seconds to set up the game.
I usually wait 45-60 seconds before I repick someone.

I saw your party join...Spoiler : Forum Mafia :
When players don't "-repick" a host which is AFK, then they are also AFK and not ready to play.
im not talking about setting up a game , im saying if when a person is chosen to make the setup and they leave their selection on custom game and do not change any settings for 10 seconds then the auto repick is initiated
if they do any changes , load a save game or whatever then the auto repick is instantly disabled

I think if they don't move at all for 15 seconds it should be automatic repick for 2 reasons...
1. noob players and kids who don't understand type -repick
2. because of these noob players if new host isn't repicked then the experienced plays drop like flies
but I'm talking no action whatsoever, so clear afk... I could understand the scripting implications and I don't wanna take away from the game... but theres nothing more of a piss off then to wait around forever for a game to fill, then load, just to have an afk host and derp players who just result in mass leavers
Auto repick for absolute afk is something we -might- consider (no interaction with the UI at all).
edit: (would be longer than 10 seconds though. 30 seconds or thereabouts seems more appropriate)
If a host is doing stuff, however, it would be up to the lobby to repick it.
I responded to something similar in R and D
You guys are missing the point. It's not about whether it's 10 seconds or not. It's about implementing something that will make it switch for AFKers. It can be 30 seconds for all I care.
Auto-repick for afkers is a 100% perfect idea that I've been ranting about since my first few Mafia games ever.
15 seconds no action/typing = repick
However, a big problem with repick is that it always seems to go to another afker, so the timer should restart with that person, OR, the best option would be: have it coded to repick someone who is already typing.
The thing is though:
This will never happen, because it would be too good to be true so suk u gayz micropenilez kk?? DIE 4EVER. >_<
I believe -repick is preferential to people with higher points, and I like it that way. A timer reset is better than going to someone who is typing. If you give it to whoever types the most, it's a pretty sure thing that trolls will get host a LOT more than they already do.
Just cycle through the people with the most points until it finds someone who isn't AFK.
The game forces the host to wait 15 seconds as is. I got host, save slot, use variant, wait 14 seconds.
I was here, 10 seconds passed, forced to wait another 4 seconds, get repicked, double u tee eff.
I assume they meant 15 seconds AFTER the required waiting period.
No. 15 seconds from start. Just because you can't start for 15 seconds doesn't mean you make no actions. If you simply bring up the loaded setup in the first 15 seconds, you're fine and who cares. If nothing happens for 15 seconds, that's 15 seconds gone.
How often does it take more than 1 minute? Then how often do you wait more than a minute just for Battle.net to load the game? Then how often is there an accidental lagger in the game turning every 5 seconds into 20-30 seconds? Then how often is there an on-purpose lagger ruining the game? Then how often is there a ragequit train due to a failhost? Then how often is there a ragequit train just because? Then how often is it a shitty game to quit anyways because you're playing with a bunch of sheeple? It would even cut down on the frustrating spam trying to get people to type -repick.
Auto-repick in 15 seconds. Best improvement ever, yet, never gonna happen.
