    Hidden mechanics

    I heard that there are some hidden ratios fro citizens, so that only 1/3 of random town roles can be citizens. And that if Random Town doesn't exclude citizen, then Random Any can't be citizen.... Is that true, or just bullshit? And if it is true, can you read up on them anywhere? Are there any other notable things to know, that aren't stated in the options/help/role-cards/in-game?

    Somebody in the SC2 Mafia channel told me that, when we discussed the outcome of a game, that went rather bad for us (Town). And he made the point that 2 of the 3 Random Town couldn't be Citizen, for the aforementioned reasons, when we had 2 players that could have been Citizen, while one was pretty confirmed. This really astonished me, as I thought Random Any is exactly what is says... Random Any. He was so convinced and said he read it somewhere on the forums, that I wanted to ask, if this is really the truth, after a failed attempt to find something of that sort here.

    Unless DR has changed it, you are more likely to get citizen than other roles. That's why Basic/Advanced Town is used together with Random Town. One with citizen enabled while the other disabled.

    There's a role weighting system

    its why you see so many doctors when you put in basic towns and why you see so many citizens when you enable them
