Gameplay. I personally love the changes they've made with the cover system. There's a bit of a learning curve, but if you're not retarded you can make use of it in due time. This game is HARDER than either of the other 2 MEs. I like a challenge in the form of intelligent AI and this game delivers.
Storyline. I guarantee I know more about ME lore than you do (I've read every single piece of lore available - novels, comic books, the wiki etc.) and the story is fucking perfect for ending Shepard's story.
Graphics. Like I said, the textures are meh but the post processing effects on everything, biotics very much included, are top notch.

I just watched all the original endings of ME3 on YouTube (and saved money), because the only one that shows what effect Shepard's actions have on organic life, is the "combine" ending, which shows leaf petals with circuitry. But the others, it's just the same green planet, and doesn't show implications for the galacy. Deus Ex: Human Revolution also failed HARD at this...they just showed FUCKING STOCK FOOTAGE OF EARTH'S EVENTS! We want CGI-generated imagery of the aftermath, fuckfaces.

3) I knew the Mass Effect series was a ripoff after buying the first game, as it was quite short. Did you know Mass Effect 1 was being hyped as "An RPG never seen before, that overcomes every one before it"? Dead wrong. When they announced it would get more sequels, both pissed-off fans and rabid fans itched for the sequel's release. But the pissed-off fans were thinking "Please make up for how boring the first one was."

GIVE US SOMETHING MORE ORIGINAL THAN ANOTHER REAPER INVASION! They gave us an AI that controls them.

The biggest problem people had with ME2 is that it wasn't so RPG heavy any more. There were definite RPG elements in the form of leveling up weapons/powers/whatnot, but it wasn't a fuckfest of over 500 different pieces of armor/weapons. RPGfags wanted the excessive and unnecessarily copious amounts of stats calculation/configuration on the player's part and bitched when they didn't receive that.
ME2 and 3 are shooters with RPG elements, rather than a third person RPG with shooter elements as ME1 was. This was a conscious overhaul of the entire genre of the game, which was justified on Bio's part due to the excessive clunkiness and overall shittyness of the way the RPG elements from the first game were presented.
In other words; you can't bitch about them removing elements that you claimed to have disliked in the first place.
