I reckon the witch is one of the most hardest roles to win as, and probably the worst or second worst neutral roles. Firstly the witches ability is not very good in the early game, does not really tell you a lot, unless you picked a killing role. Mid-late game it's a bit better because you should be able to deduce what role's people are. Even still on default settings people know if they are witched or not so kind of reveals yourself too early. Also your winning conditions need you to survive to the end to see the town lose so it's kind of like a survivor but you have no protection so ultimately it's harder than survivor and you don't get to pick sides. Her alibi if investigated is only survivor and amnesiac. Survivor should have claimed early for it to be a decent alibi whilst amnesiac can be easily tested because he can easily pick a role out of the dead guys. So these aren't the best alibi's
Here is my proposals. Lower the goal requirement for the witch. Her ability is mediocre and sometimes about luck so I also think she could use a buff in that.
So here's my suggested new requirement:
Survive until no. Mafia plus evil neutrals(not including herself) is greater than or equal to the no.town
I reckon this makes witches a lot more easier to win since now she does not have to survive as long and I think this is fair due to her lack of protection and mediocre ability
My other suggestion is to buff her ability:
When controlling somebody, the person they visit will also do an 'investigative job' for her. What I mean by this is they will give both a sheriff and an investigator's report for her but not to the controlled person. The controlled person's ability will also be used against targeted person.
This way the witch can more easily deduce whose on her side and who is not.
Another suggestion is to make her team up with the serial killer so that means one less person to worry about killing her.
My final suggestion is make her night immune. She dies too god damn easily
Note, not all my suggestion could be taken into the game but they're just suggestions
