24 Feature Film - to start filming this Spring hopefully!

I just got a new signature photo, what do you think? I think it's one of the funniest things Jack Bauer has ever done, except the time in Season 6 him and Assad pretended to intercept a terrorist by Jack causing a car accident with him, and then screaming at him about his driving skills.

During the past few months, I started watching 24 for real. It's quite gripping, and I've heard people say that Jack Bauer's character is way more interesting and complex than James Bond. Now in season 8, it ended with Jack Bauer having to flee the country with the Russians in pursuit, after he saved NYC. Fans often complain that Jack Bauer never gets a happy ending.

He might this time. They have been planning a 24 FEATURE FILM for years, and this will be the final conclusion of the series. The movie will be 2-hours long, but will cover a 24-hour period. I think that's the timeline-concept that agrees the most with this unusual transition. However, I would sit through a 24-hour 24 movie. Audrey Raines is expected to return, as well.

It's been in slight development hell, related to the script, but they expect it to start filming this Spring. As I've read, the average feature film takes 6 months to film.

The 24 film will be so fucking awesome, I will drop everything to see it opening night. If they kill off Jack, I'm killing the producers lol.

They want to make a movie? It is going to be shit. Movies from TV shows, especially ones that aren't even that popular, are never good. 24 is popular in the sense that everyone has heard of it, but I don't even know what kind of show it is to be honest. And I know a lot of people that would have the same thinking as I. It wouldn't be a good movie.

That being said, 3D technology is being nothing but abused, and horribly abused at that. There have only been two good 3D movies, as far as the 3D part is concerned, and those are, "How to Train Your Dragon," which was animated; and, "Avatar." Most movies go for the cheesy, "Oh, look at this thing coming to your face," where these movies utilized the background. Instead of bringing the movie out to you, they brought you into the movie. This is something that doesn't get utilized often at all and has made the idea of 3D boring and overrated. The technology behind it is an extremely interesting study, but seeing movies in 3D is just a waste of 5 extra dollars.

I was like you, before I got into watching 24. I never had any commitment to watching TV, so I missed so many years. 24 is different in that it's meant to be taking place in real-time, even between commercial breaks, they fill a 3-minute gap, meaning characters are travelling somewhere, or working on something. I haven't seen "Redemption, which is a made-for-TV 24 movie that is 2 hours long and covers a 2-hour period.

The dumb thing about the show? They're not allowed to swear except "Dammit" and "Bitch", but they can show graphic torture during primetime. What's worse, a guy saying "FUCK SHIT PISS!" or showing Jack Bauer killing the family members of a terrorist he's torturing? HMM, I think the priorities are a bit messed up, censorship!!! Let's protect the families from the F-word, while at the same time showing families being murdered lol.

5 extra dollars? You're getting ripped off, man lol. Imax 3D is where it costs more, up here, regular and Digital 3D are the same price. Imax, you pay more for better glasses, a better screen, better sound, and better blend of 3D. For example, Tron Legacy was unique in that when he's in the "real world", it was all in 2D, but when he enters the world of Tron, then it becomes 3D!

I still have no idea what the actual show is about lol.

That being said, Imax 3D is a different story because the sheer size of the screen brings you in with the subtle 3D effects that aren't intentional. Every 3D movie has the background depth to it, but they don't utilize that through amazing scenery like the movies I mentioned earlier did. Imax forces those background 3D effects to become much greater to the point where any movie shot in 3D is a good 3D movie. But Avatar, I'll tell you, in 3D Imax was beyond amazing. Oh, and Dark Knight in Imax was amazing to.

But yes, we have to pay extra for even regular 3D movies, even though the technology isn't that much more sophisticated, the trick is all in the glasses anyways and everyone has like 20 pairs of those lying around. x.x

I wrote an editorial on 3D movies back in high school, and still have seen no effort put forth in the industry to make 3D movies better. Fucking hollywood

24 summary: it surrounds operations of a government building in L.A called CTU (Counter-Terrorist Unit). They liason with Homeland Security, NSA, and report directly to the President of the United States. Most of the staff there are analysts working on computers, working up leads and stuff, but they have field agents as well, plus backup tactical teams, choppers, vehicles, etc. Jack Bauer, the main character, is a "Special Agent in Charge", and is good at assaults...and torturing suspects.

Yes, the show depicts graphic torture. Jack Bauer will do whatever it takes to stop a threat. He'll even kill family members of suspected terrorists. However, he himself has been caught a few times, but never breaks. He spent 2 years in a Chinese prison, tortured constantly, but never spoke a single word. The unique thing about Jack Bauer is despite whatever he goes through (like when the Chinese return him, a haggard broken man), all he needs to do is shave and shower, and he's right back on track.

Oh, one more thing: anyone Jack Bauer gets close to, ends up dead or broken. A main character once said to him "You're cursed, Jack. Everything you touch, one way or another, ends up dead."

Well I think the biggest 3D criminal is George Lucas. When Avatar came out, he said "You know, I think I should copy James Cameron." He then went on to re-release The Phantom Menace. He's going to re-release all his fucking movies again, in 3D. THAT is wrong!
