mayor guilty on jester --> suicide

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to suggest a small improvement in the metagame of mafia. I hasted through the forum by searching for some mayor-topic and didnt find anything likely.

Situation: There is a jester getting voted by the town as guilty, and a mayor is voting him guilty.

Problem: The vote-majority of the (silly) mayor deciding the fate is not compared to the chance he is going to die due to the guilty-voter-suicide.

suggested solution 1: the mayor is more likely to commit suicide. when he has 2 votes, chance is doubled; when he has 3 votes, the chance is tripled; etc.
suggested solution 2: the guilty-voting mayor always commits suicide.
Suggested solution 3: [EDIT] makes no sense

I'm looking forward to hearing from you with some other solutions or ideas!

I don't really see that as being a problem.
Avoiding getting killed by the jester is as easy as not voting guilty. Blaming your death on others is just avoiding the responsibility from voting guilty.

He's not saying the mayor should avoid the death. He's saying if the mayor vote counts for more, then his chance of committing suicide should be equally weighted.

That's not his ONLY suggested solution, there is also the suggested solution of ALWAYS having the Mayor die, which I franky find rather retarded.

True, but still not avoiding the suicide. It would be another aspect of metagame, but I see no reason to put it in. Then again, I don't see a reason why he couldn't have it as an option except that it would take more of DR's time and he barely sleeps.

For sure only one Suggestion is possible and in my opinion necessary. I would stick to the first suggestion.

No role commits suicide from voting innocent on a Jester as far as I can tell.
As stated by meltingpot, the only "good" suggestion here is number one, but I think it's better to leave it as it is.
