Thumbs Up
Quotes on here dont track who they were responding to once requoted so I'll track who they've talked about
-> To Goblin & Worg
Probably a good look for Goblin? Comes in and latches onto them a little, asking for their worldview, looking for some sort of entrance into the game. Their ISO feels a little centric around Goblin at the very least, so come across like they're looking to pocket someone that was fairly active in the thread at the time, especially with other posts like #2263 from Platypus mentioning they like Goblin - potentially good look for Platypus if so? Since if Goblin town, Thumbs could have been following what people were saying at the time for townread players, so Platypus would have a plus for being one of the people to suggest that read.
-> To Player 2
This follows on with latching onto Goblin, feeds into the Player2 push by prodding that they broke their gimmick and egging them on past a point where both had opted to leave the other be. I'm kinda conflicted on what this means for Player? Both Goblin and Player2 were going at it and being pretty rough on the other, which fosters a pretty bad thread environment for those involved, so it was better that they left each other be. So could be reigniting v/v violence? But I think later posts about Player look rough in a way that could potentially indicate w!Player rather than w!Thumbs trying to encourage v/v fighting.
-> To Peekaboo
Maybe not worth reading into too heavily but they take a different approach to talking about their other views because they almost feel like they're selling it to a spectator rather than discussing their read with anyone in particular. I dont know quite what to make of it myself but thought it was worth bringing up because it stuck out to me. GtH maybe good for Peekaboo?
-> To Player2
Coming back to Player2, there's a switch up from egging them on about their reaction to Goblin to then calling them townie and almost pushing back on Goblin instead? Which worries me since it shows they didn't really care about their read on Player to begin with, just feels like a really awkward switch up on them. I lean more towards this being scummy for Player since the walkback from egging them on to suddenly agreeing and trying to prod Goblin feels more like someone trying to avoid shading their partner too heavily and trying to potentially prevent TMIing someone as town for following them there? At a stretch it could be good for Player since instead it would be Thumbs trying to get two villas to argue again but looking at how thumbs approached Goblin vs the switchup on Player, things kinda just feel different? Bleh. Would like a second thought on this as I think there's a distinction in how they treat people but I'm not 100% on my conclusions there.
-> General post
Tinnitus noted it at the time but the actual tone of this feels awkward, especially when this was a fairly common conclusion from their back-and-forth that others like myself picked up on. Feels like they feel awkward suggesting they're unaligned, could come down to having TMI that they were unaligned but not wanting that TMI to be obvious? At least I think based on looking at how Thumb approaches them both I dont think they're w/w? So I think they had TMI that there's a wolf in Player2/Goblin and that they didnt want to throw a partner under the bus. Could be them encouraging a v/v dichotomy, but I lean more towards v/w
-> To Tinnitus
This kinda reaffirms it since they double down that their opinions arent that strong, leaves them space to be on the fence about their reads which up until this point were just primarily Player/Goblin with the one post about Peekaboo.
BOOM there's a few more I wanna look at from Thumbs but I think this post is so Player2/Goblin centric (& Peekaboo) that I'll cut off there for now and then grab the odd posts I wanna talk about separately? And leave this as more of an analysis of their interactions with those 2 specifically. Sorry this took so long D: I kept going back and forth on little side quests to double check things from them that it took a lot longer than what I wanted especially since it's only focusing a few people
