Additionally, a different sheriff left a last will of "N1 - AFK; N2 - 1, Mafia" and was killed on N2, which clearly wouldn't be trustworthy due to game mechanics. When the player tried to push this lead and nobody sided with him, he got very angry and threatened to quit the game if nobody sided with him. He then quit the game after nobody sided with him.

Yes. Having the Veteran still alive would've given town an extra day and they had a solid lead on the GODFATHER, and additionally it likely would've forced the AMNESIAC to commit for town earlier instead of flipping sides to MAFIA on day 5.
