I am at the beach for another 12 hours, but I wanted to give you an update.

I have been doused by the/a arsonist. Thus the silliness of the day (lynch train on narks). However, I appear unscathed at the moment.

This game took a frustrating turn for the worse.

It's looking like we could be dealing with multiple Arsonists. We need to win with those Arsonists.

Those Arsonists will need to burn. The chances of you winning this game just dropped. I find it weird how the Arsonist is pulling this stunt though, I mean he's going to kill his doused victims anyway.

Okay thanks for the info, I hope you're enjoying the beach. I'm off to bed now but we need to formulate a strategy (still interested to hear your COM name too xD).

#1 priority is to send a message to this Arsonist. This may be a blessing in disguise, but we must be cautious. Using the note he sent you in some way might be the way forward - the fact I have established myself as a Wizard might be useful, he'll know that the only way we can have spoken is through a student/mentor chat.

#2 priority is to figure out a way to get you undoused. I need to re-read the role cards, see if any Doctors can undouse you or whether I can make the Arsonist undouse you through witching or something. If that's not possible...

#3 priority might be to get you jailed instead of lynched, if all else fails, to help the Arsonist spread the fire.


Your sheriff claim was pretty good, by the way, even though I knew you were a Student at that time I still felt it was convincing. Even if you've not won over the Town completely, you haven't really inspired much argument or attack from anyone.

Now this is just a preliminary idea that popped into my head. I can witch you onto me, claiming that I wanted the 'so-called sheriff' to check me out, to see what read he got on me and for me to see if I got drugged or blackmailed or anything. I might even be able to persuade Yayap that the action 'helped my alignment' to progress my level up (well, it helped my student... :P). The main problem I see would be to tarnish the gameplan I've been laying out for the Town. Only an idiot Green Wizard would take the Sheriff investigation and put it on himself. The strength of this plan is in helping your game, and making the Arsonist take notice of me via a connection to you (so he has a greater chance of seeing me try to reach out to him).

Not a great plan but I'm brainstorming. We have more work to do than most other factions, I fear, even though we're not participating too much in day chat.

I'm going to ask Yayap if he'll answer some questions publicly in the FAQ - nothing too obvious, but subtle hints to the Arsonist. I am curious as to how much our *lovely lovely GM* will help us out in that regard ^^.

P.S. Now I've heard the message you got sent, I'm inclined to believe that suicidaln00b got a similar message. In which case, this Arsonist pressured someone to claim sheriff and vote up the Black Wizard and then forced the Black Wizard's Student to also claim sheriff. Being a Wizard is a bitch, which is actually part of my 'no point lynching me because no one cares about me' campaign.
