That gives evil roles a HUGE disadvantage. Completely ruins their ability to lie, which is the purpose of the game.
Hi I'm Godfather. Set roles in setup that aren't random are Sheriff, Investigator, and Doctor. They are all dead.
Now I can't claim anything, cause it's all set, and I will be counterclaimed. I lose D:.

I think the option would be hardly ever used. And when it is used, chances are some players would leave the game early.
