Racist names (yes this again)

They lack attention, and doing this fills that void imho.

Something strange just happened to me.
In my language these are 2 entirely different things: attention deficiency and attention disorder. Translating it directly didn't work because English has ADHD - which has both of the words in it whilst only having the meaning of one.

What is it called in English what I just described?

You'd probably just say they're desperate for attention, a prima donna, a drama queen, a showoff, etc. depending on the context of what they do
