Ever wanted to play mafia on Skype? Well… now you can!

Date: Feb 11th

Time: 7:30pm MST to 9:30pm MST (Please be logged in and on Skype at 7:00pm MST.)


Requirements: If you have ever been put on the BAN list, you are not allowed to participate. Kevinpowers and Akira will have the final say who gets approved or not.

You need a Microphone. If you cannot talk, you cannot play. (No voice modification software allowed. Your voice and your voice only.)

Players will be switched out each game to ensure that everyone will have a chance to play.

Depending on how many people apply there is a chance you may not be selected. Players will be determined on a first come, first serve basis. If Skype Mafia turns out to be as popular as we hope, we will be doing regular games.

Rules for game: If you are not a member of the mafia, you are not allowed to text chat with other players. (Only IM the Game Master/Host)

You cannot talk while the Game Master/Host is speaking.

No Webcams allowed.

All votes will be done by Secret Ballot. (IM to the Game Master/Host) Majority gets the lynch.

If you are put up to lynch, you will have 1 minute to voice why you deserve to be voted innocent.

Players will again message the Game Master/Host either “Innocent” or “Guilty.” Everyone must vote.

Roles will be basic.

The only Mafia role will be Mafioso. (They will be able to collectively kill one target per night.)

Town will be Citizens (with no vest.)

SKs, Doctors, and Sheriffs may be added, depending on how things go.

During discussions you will be able to call out other players and ask them their roles. Listen for a lie in their voice. Interrogate your targets and find out their loyalties. This is unlike SC2 Mafia or Forum Mafia. If you have ever played the real life Mafia game, expect the same experience.

Mafia members will be put into a group with the Game Master/Host. They will be able to type out their actions and the Host will confirm.

All Skype Names must be changed to your SC2 Forum name to play. Game Master/Host does not want to deal with complicated names. There will be no name switching when game starts. You are who you are.

Not enough sign-ups = no game. So the more people that sign up the better chance a project like this will succeed.

If you are not on Skype at 7:01PM MST then you will be put at the back of the list.

I'd /sign, but the ONE consistent part of my job is my weekend schedule, which makes me get home at 10pm EST (8pm MST) So I'll be missing every game by an hour even if I tried. Looked like fun though.
On a sidenote, I was KV listed but it was appealed down to watchlist, would that have disqualified me?

We will be investigating everyone who signs up. If you appealed and got down to WL then no that does not disqualify you. Raptor you can still sign up and leave a time you will be home at. We can put you at the end of the list and hopefully get you in on a game later that night.
