Role Name: Sex Toy Manufacturer

Alignment: Town

Game Size(s): FM / M-FM / S-FM - the bigger the better

Abilities: Give a sex toy to someone at night. Your target will be blocked on the two nights after he is given the toy and will become immune to any further role blocks. Your target will not be notified that he has received a sex toy. He will be notified of being role blocked.

Example:

Night 1 - Given a sex toy.
Night 2 - Role blocked.
Night 3 - Role blocked. Becomes immune to role blocks.


A variation on the escort role. It requires more skill than the escort as players will need to think ahead. Randomly blocking someone on night 1 who claims sheriff on day 2 will have a negative effect on the town as he now won't be able to investigate on the next two nights so more consideration needs to be made before blocking someone. The sex toy manufacturer will need to preemptively block kills from scum tells the day before so it is much harder for him to block a kill than it is for an escort, even though he has the greater effect of 2 blocks.

On the actual subject of this role though, it's ridiculously hard to play. Unless your scum reads are just beyond amazing, I don't think you can nail anyone that accurately 2 days in advance. This role just seems more deleterious to town than to scum. If anything, it should be a Mafia role.

I considered having a mafia version but it would just be OP and won't take much skill as mafia can just put double blocks on anyone without any consequences.

Think of it as a gunsmith or armoursmith who wants to target scum instead of town PRs (it wouldn't matter if he targeted a cit). If he's not sure of anyone he can choose to skip his action. I don't think he will be blocking much kills unless he gets lucky but it can be used as a double ability block which is still very useful.

I don't want it to be too complicated or be too OP. There also shouldn't be anyway of knowing whether you were blocked by a sex toy or by a escort / consort / whore.

The Sex Toy Manufacturer (or Sex Toy Maker? or Sexsmith? ) will now make his target immune to role blocks.

This is to reduce the damage that blocking a town PR causes and it could actually benefit scum in long run. Like the gunsmith and armoursmith this role can be a disadvantage either side so it is important to block the right people.
