Bought a new computer that can run SWTOR at max settings with steady 70-100fps. Now I can say fuck starcraft!

anyone who plays SWTOR, I'm in Port Nowhere and my handle is...you guessed it, cygx.

Besides, with the Kevinpowers fiasco and the constant pissing and moaning about cheaters and griefers this game just isn't fun anymore.

I was in two beta tests for SWTOR, and I think I should get a free fucking copy. But that's just the way it is. I have played it in it's unpatched state with few players, and it looks so beautiful. This could be an MMO for the ages.

Personally I've lost faith in them after that abomination known as DA:2. Seriously, TOR is a half assed game with tons of bugs, no end game content, shit customer service, and a horrible playerbase.

Also, it wasn't your computer that couldn't run the game. The game was built on a seven year old prototype engine that can't optimize more than one core.

A tone of bugs? Its a MMO. It has a very minimal bugs compared to how big the game is. I myself have only ever encountered one bug, and it was easily fixed with a /stuck command.
Shit customer service? How so? You can go to https://www.swtor.com/support/form and call the customer support number 24 hours a day and they will help you. Yes, in game it can take up to 12 hours, depending on the situation, for a support agent to answer you. What was your issue Zam? Like in WoW and other MMOs, if Customer Support feels that it's not an urgent issue that needs addressing immediately then they will handle reports that are until they get to you.
No end game? How come no one has been able to down the last 5 hardest to kill bosses yet? The end game is not bad and it is there. Players expect this MMO to at the same easy difficulty that World of Warcraft is now. We won't hold your hand. Star Wars is a giant universe and it you want it in the palm of your hands, you need to work for it. (Like vanilla wow was before Wrath came out)
Lastly, horrible playerbase? Not at all either. If you don't like the people on your server or faction, switch! Bring your friends alone if you want people you know are good to play with. You yourself make or break your own playerbase experience.

The community calls everyone with a criticizing opinion a 'troll' and flame every thread possible.

-All classes and races look the same with slight variations (colour of skin and tone and slight facial modifications)
-People got banned for exploring higher level zones (really? It's an MMO)
-People getting banned for 'exploiting' the economy by buying cheap and selling high
-Broken PvP system that allowed one side to easily farm honor points by camping the other side (can't recall which was which)
* When one user found a way to escape the spawn camping, he was banned for using an 'exploit'

OMG , so much is happening in that virtual world without me. I'm gonna get a job soon so I can buy it, and not be such a late n00b. No MMO should be shy of controversy over game features, it's fun and WILL be fixed someday, it's just fun to bitch about.

I doubt George Lucas did any work on the game, and creative thought = work. Proof: you have seen his pet projects:

-Star Wars Episodes 1-6 (if he was dead for episode 1-3, they would've fucking ruled)
-The Clone Wars cartoon series
-The Clone Wars cartoon....movie. He had fans begging for a live-action SW movie for years, and he says "Fuck you" and...he could have chosen a better style of drawing, as well.

The rest? You've read/played the awesome stories. Many authors took the torch from Lucas' lazy ass and wrote his "Expanded Universe" FOR HIM!

TOR isn't a bad game, it's just not good. Doesn't bring anything truly spectacular, abilities are all rehashed, so on. The highest quality part of it is probably the singleplayer story, which is kind of silly because it's an MMO, the focus should be on multiplayer features with your friends, not on going through your own story (which loses some of its immersion purely from the fact that 1 out of 4 people are pursuing the exact same story as you.)

Unfortunately for TOR, being an -okay- MMO doesn't really cut it when you have monthly sub fees. Like it or not, unless Bioware starts ramping up the quality of TOR it won't be around much longer (not as a major MMO, that is). This is further hampered by a variety of huge fucking problems, such as the vanishing unsubscribe button, the whole Ilum affair (basically, scores of Empire players now have endgame PvP gear / valor levels that absolutely no one on the Republic side is anywhere near to getting).
