Since some don't seem to realize just how important a D1 lynch is, let's just throw some simple examples:
Assuming a 10v3 setup for simplicity and the scum killing 1T per night, NLD1 would translate into thee town being able to mislynch twice before reaching MyLo. With a D1 lynch, this would give the town an extra day/mislynch of control.
Another example with the same assumptions: with a D1 lynch, by D4 the town would have a 43% chance of lynching scum, and this would be by voting at random. With a NLD1, on the other hand, the chance of hitting scum with a random lynch would be 37%.
This setup has the potential of being considerably more dangerous for town due to the possibility of multiple NKs or convertions, which would take control out of the town's hands even faster than a normal setup with only 2 factions.
There is absolutely no reason to avoid lynching on D1. The only ones who benefit from it are the scum, and by "scum" I mean the anti-tow factions. Executioners and Sleuths would also benefit from this, as their best strategy is to side with the Town and get their wins.

I see that Ganelon avoided answering, so he's a good candidate for D1 lynch so far.
I am totally okay with killing lurkers N1 this game.

Spoiler : :
Giving scum rolecards to town would be very bastard and I don’t think that that has happened this game. There’s no reason to believe it would be, either. I think it’s very likely, just as Gyrlander said, that instead people get random rolecards that have nothing to do with their actual role.
If you’re talking about statistics, statistically if you play as a town and you’re scum, you lose. It’s foolish to do gung-ho in such a game. All we really need to do is get as much info about our roles/alignments as possible, then act on that. Woe be to TPRs who got a citizen rolecard, or vice versa, lol.
Town does need to believe to be town in this setup. You do not know you are Town. You pick an alignment and stick to it (or you choose to 100% believe your rolecard). Or better yet, you get info about your alignment on n1.
@deathworlds can citizens try to visit people?
I want bold white text
No. This isn't your ordinary game. There is not information about to setup to even suggest any of your statistics make sense.
If this game is a cult game you would be offering the cult the best choices of conversion for their night action. They will be hunting power roles, or the better players.
No. I’m trying to see if it’s possible for citizens to self-confirm themselves as TPRs, I’d theyre actually TPR
Obviously one of the issues is - let’s say you get a relatively benign role like an escort, but you’re actually vigilante. You need to be very careful who you target bc you don’t want to kill the wrong people.
MM isn’t here yet so he’s probably scum 😎

D1 lynch benefits town in all setups unless the starting configuration doesn't have town majority -which this setup does- or if there is a massively overpowered confirmed town role that can only act when there are no lynches -which isn't the case-.
I don't know what that cult talk is about. If there's a cult, a lynch doesn't help them in any way. In fact, a NLD1 would help any hypothetical cult, as they would have an extra potential target, reducing the chances of said target being protected or killed by other factions.
Ah, I love getting familiar with other players and trusting them because mechanics.
Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to lead the town this game so I'll be taking a little bit of a backseat. To those who know me, lurkiness isn't my style. Hope power-wolves don't lead us!

D1 benefits in most games. But this game is far too wild and different for it to be beneficial. Forgive me for wanting to rely on more than just a random shot in the dark. The information we can gain tomorrow would be more useful. And I would rather keep one extra peep alive to work with the information, whom is more likely to be town.
A lynch helps cult, you are offering them more information to pick their first and most important conversion.
The pro-townyness of Jester King was pointed out by Calix at the end of the last game, so DW is presumably aware of it. Due to the fact it's mutually beneficial for us to just lynch the jester king, I was kind of just assuming there wasn't anyone who directly got jester king and was told they're jester king.
If that did happen, I kind of want them to read this to make the game more interesting because just lynching someone with jester king rolecard would be boring asf lol
Says Gyrlander in the fourth player post of the game lol
Light is 95 % town, gg wp. That being said, there are very high odds of him saying stuff that doesn't make a lot of sense in the future, so be warned

X I respectfully disagree.
D1 lynching (or at least CONSIDERING to be lynching) gives information that can be used later. If scum hunting may be a bit less efficient than in normal setups, we can see who thinks is scum, in a way. Information is the Town's weapon, and not attempting to create as much of it as we can is a misplay (imo).
