FM VIII Signup Thread

Yeah, just type /in and you are placed on reserve. 30~ players will be handpicked based on my personal opinion of how much they are capable of contributing. I will consider post count, but more importantly, quality of recent posts in FM and M-FMs.

I expect approx. 15 people to sign up and not actually get a chance to play. Sorry, but 45 people playing in FM is chaotic--see FMVI.

If you aren't selected, play some mini-FMs and prove that you have what it takes.

Players, don't get all cocky and misbehave. At any time, I reserve the right to take people off the playing list and add people to the reserve list and vice versa. Fear not, there is still hope for you reservers.

It's just the level of contribution. I don't think poorly of you, don't get the wrong idea. It's very likely that people on the reserve will get to play, too. You're always open to sign up again.

I know very well that I played very poorly in FM6, but it wasnt at all intentional. It definately wasnt anywhere near the best I could play, but I promise I will do the very best that I can in this game, as I have always done. If you are realy going to hold my mistake against me so much, fine, but its not at all fair.

It's not about a mistake, its about level of (relevant) contribution. Being on reserve isn't a bad thing, you may still be able to play.

I have played in every single FM game, and have never lurked, even when I got citizen my first 3 times out of 4. Saying that being on the reserve isnt a bad thing is total BS. I was busy in FM6, yes, but im on holiday now. Please at very least tell me how I have not contributed enough in previous FM games to be allowed on the main list. Everyone else on the reserve list is either there because they either repeatedly lurk, have gone completely AFK for extended periods of time in FM games, or have never played in a FM game before.

As I said, im on holiday, and was looking forward to the new FM game. Geting kicked down to reserves and either having to fight to even get you to make me a starter citizen, not getting to play until I get subbed in, or not getting to play at all is not something I expected at all, and dont fucking lie and say it isnt a bad thing. I get enough bullshit in real life, and I realy dont need more here.

I'm sorry Auckmid, but I can't. I know you try your best every time, but sometimes your best isn't good enough. I will give you a compromise.

I will make a poll asking if you should play in FM VIII, and if a majority of people say yes, you are in. I can't do much more than that.
