I am like 80% sure Funce is a Jester lol.
I don't know if he can do anything to convince me he isn't.
Shouldn't be lynched today.
Going to probably start ignoring him :P
Don't pet growlithe, he will bite you.
I've played a lot on other sites, but it's been a little over a year since my last game. I'd say I am fairly experienced. I get a lot of gut readings and will usually dig deeper in on those. I also "beat the grass to look for snakes". Not everyone likes my gut reads and logic from them, but I find scum to slip the most under that type of pressure.
I haven't targeted you Quick.
At all.
I'm only trying to get into the game. I have a tendency to lurk when people don't talk to me.
So I'm making myself some discussion.
and I did just kick us out of RVS.
You are tunneling me extremely hard right now due to the two shitposts I made today to begin the game. You're not even trying to critically evaluate my later posts, you're just running away with this initial read of me. I get that you can be extremely confident in your early reads but I'm not inclined to take you seriously until you start providing content.
I really doubt that Funce is Jester. Playing the way is he seems like the exact way to not get lynched D1.

What does RVS stand for?
Also I find him to be spammy, not sure if that's equitable to scummy atm, I usually find that to be more of a meta read on a person, i.e. Player X is posting a lot but not saying much that's usually one of their scum tells.
However if this behavior continues and it's cluttering up the actual gameplay, I am fine with a policy lynch.
Kovath you are scum, because the moon says so. :-p
This seems like a threat more than anything. I'm not stupid enough to give away what role I am right off the bat. The post I made was bait for scum to say something like this.
No, you have it backwards. You reacted to me, not the other way around. This is an easy way for scum to try and turn it around on me when they know full well what actually happened.
And shit posts and and random voting is how I get reads, like you agreed with, but didn't give me credit that that is what I was trying to do. -1 for you.
And you said you were cooking dinner and nothing about having to leave for a bit to eat it. Why leave that out?
That's not true.. at all. How could you possible know the extent of my game if you have never played with me before?
The fact that you want me to talk about mid mid game is completely off topic and has no relevance to this beginning of the day. you ask about this as if to change the subject from the focus being on you to on me. There is no reason to ask this question if you have a town mindset. you think I'm self absorbed or something and think stroking my ego to get me to talk about myself will get me to think about me rather than you. So far up to this point all you have tried to do is discredit me and say "see, he has no reasons, he can't be right. So what if my gut reads are good? What do you do if my start of day one reads are on point. So far you haven't even entertained that possibility. You come off as super defensive for having a new face blindly accuse you of being scum.
Here you are trying to get me to feel guilty for having reads this early in the game attempting to make me second guess myself. Like I said, you are coming across way too defensively to just be a town feeling me out. You comment on that there are already 3 votes on you during RVS is very telling.
Here.
It's very easy to throw out the "You seem defensive" at someone as a scum slight, yet very little do I actually see it backed up with anything. My point was I want to hear some actual reasoning for why a collection of individuals have scumread me off shitposts. Analysis of my recent posts, I can accept. Scumreading me in order to get my reactions, that is something that I can accept. All I've gotten so far is the aforementioned "These feel like scum excuses" and that the moon apparently decided to scumread me. This is not an approach that I believe is productive to town. Gut feelings are important but should be backed up by content. Relying on gut feelings to conduct lynches is not a pro-town way to play the game, so what I am requesting is that we begin moving in that direction.
This train also feels quite opportunistic, like scum are just swinging their way aboard to make themselves seem useful and productive.
As for Funce, Fire's and some other reactions are why I made that statement. I feel like people playing that way are looking to survive to later days (and hopefully to contribute then), which does not fit the wincon of a Jester.

There is not going to be an extended period. Days last 2 IRL days.
I cooked my dinner and ate it, as was implied by the act of cooking it. I have no idea how that fits into your "Kovath is scum" narrative.
If I'm scum, do I react to your 'bait' in that manner in such an obvious way in a shitpost? Or am I being so obvious that I must be scum after all? Not something I would consider alignment-indicative.
I will grant you your point on you getting reads off reactions and such. I would argue that your vote was a reaction to my beginning vote, which I then reacted to, but that argument would probably devolve to little productive.
On the contrary, I believe it is a town perspective to take. You spoke quite a bit about your early and late games. What should town expect from you in the midgame? Will you continue to push your early reads, searching for content to back them up? What kind of mechanical decisions should town expect? Since you are presenting an image of yourself as a player, I requested that you make it a complete one, and the argument that I was just intending to derail the conversation makes little sense given your continued focus on me. It was a serious question intended to get a serious answer.
I don't know where trying to guilt you into anything came into any statement I made. I will grant that my reaction to 3 votes was a bit over-the-top, though, as you say. I defend myself by saying that I was surprised by where it came from, considering its gut-read-based origins.
I am liking this trend, though. We're moving into more substantial discussion.

Dude, I'm not scum reading you because of your shitpost, I'm scum reading you because your reaction to other people calling you out, and you over explaining things. I also didn't have you as a hard scum read, since I wanted to see your further reactions and the way you handled things. This however has elevated you in my mind.
You also seem like you are trying to buddy up with Funce in that last part, appealing to him since if you are mafia you obviously know he isn't so you're trying to earn town cred.
Kov, you are aware that Quick is damn near conftown right? What are your other reads?
Would also like the answer to this, as I do see Quick as town, in my hard town list, he is actively scum hunting and playing in a very pro town way, but he could be scum trying to lead the town at an early stage to coast to endgame. So I wouldn't say conf town at all.
That comment was made in response to a point that Quick indicating something I said as not-town-perspective. That should be more than enough explanation.
I have no idea how Quick is confirmed town at all. Seeing as I know I am town, I'm townreading him for his scumhunting but he could still be mafia pouncing on a perceived opportunity.
There are some people I'm waiting to hear more content from. Lightly scumreading Titus for sheeping and no content. Firebringer light town.
Some of the people haven't posted much at all or usefully, so I'm not going to try to read them at the moment.
I'm honestly more inclined to townread G4 for training me right now, but could be opportunistic scum. I'll keep a close eye out.
Oh, Unknown is also a scumread.
