I was playing mafia today and it said one of the guys was killed by lighting, what does that mean?

IT MEANS a mod was in your game and was not happy with the game, so he player was griefing, cheating, or etc that deserved to be smited.

In your particular case, if you watch the replay, you'll see that player quit. Thus committing suicide that night.. Mod just had a little fun and changed the way he died.

Was there some type of update that took off the notifications that told people when they were playing with a moderator? Beacuse a notification usually pops up when you are playing a game with a moderator and in this case it did not. Im just asking because if there was a moderator in that game usually the notification thing would let us know, which it obviously didnt, but im guessing their was an update or something that took that off, i just wanna make sure

Those sorts of notifications aren't automatic; there's a command that triggers them. Sometimes mods like it when that message isn't triggered, so they can catch cheaters in action.

Are there any EU mods? Just curious - Never seen one in ~1k games.

I don't think I've seen any mods in the EU servers. That means there are either

1. No mods/Lazy mods not doing their job.

2. Ninja mods doing their jobs extremely well.
