    Night 1

    Hey guys! Just so you all know, I threw Deathfire in the prison, mainly because of a comment he made in the sign up thread...

    Something about Capitilizer I find suspicious, so I think he may be a good taxing target.

    Re: Night 1

    Yeah deathfire made quite a few interesting comments in the game. I'm glad we didn't waste a night with Nick, that guy is sooooo dead lol.

    Anyway, there's a few things I wanted to say about some of the people so far as well as our general strategy going forward. It seems like as a tax collector my job is to find the following people:

    1) Assassins: given that Sin could use us as allies, it's doubtful they'll try to attack any of perceived romans for fear that they might kill a tax collector or pilate instead of tiberius himself. These guys scare me as wild cards though, so we probably need to take care of them ASAP.

    2) Angels: At least discovering their identities would be useful for potential blackmailing/weakening in prison. And their identities could be good bargaining chips for the future if Sin gets a little out of hand. I forgot to ask, but I wonder if you can write death notes despite technically being a "jailor"? Another benefit to discovering angel identities would be scouring the day chat to see who else they subtley communicate with, could lead us to Jesus' identity or other disciples.

    3) Commoners: Just because we need the buddies, at least until we get to the 2 full strength.

    With that in mind, here's my notes on some people from the first day. I know it's not much, but I figure I might as well throw out my thoughts and who I intend to investigate tonight.

    Borkbot, Goonswarm, and Phillie all complained about Rome being too powerful and wanted it gimped. That's 3 people that hate rome, and there's 3 eternity spots. It's not much to go on yet, but I think it is worth noting. If they were Sin they wouldn't care since we're potential allies, so they could all just be whining humans, I dunno.

    Dust is interesting because his signature just says 2:8. I popped that into google and Luke 2:8 - 14 is about shepherds and Angels talking about the coming of christ. And since Angels investigated by me come up as Shepherds.... I think he's going to be my first target. It's not much to go on, but then again there really isn't anything to say after the first day anyway.

    Also did anyone notice that Raiden has citizen/lookout in a different color than his other previous roles in his sig? I never noticed that before so I dunno if he recently changed that for his game in order to hint at his role. Seeing as how Shepherd (the Angel alt) is essentially a lookout, he might be trying to be clever for his own good. Or (more likely) I'm just reading into codes that aren't there like I'm starring in "Beautiful Mind".

    For Pilate, I'd say Kromos is the obvious choice to recruit as it's not like he'd have any reason to lie since there's no vet type role in this game. Capitalier also seems like he's straight humanity, so he could be another person to possibly convert if you don't want to go the obvious route. I would say we try never to recruit Nick just because even if he survives tonight he seems like a loose cannon and I don't want him drawing negative attention to us with his mention of "lists".

    Annnnnnnnnd as if this post wasn't long enough, I thought I'd share the investigator code I'm going to use. It's going to just be usual beginnings to sentences to represent the following:

    Aight = Commoner or Unsealed Demon
    Well = Jesus/Rabbi
    Ok = Humanity Power Role (that isn't covered in one of the other setups)
    So = Sinner
    Lol = Angel/Shepherd
    What = Disciple
    Huh = Blocked

    And then I figure each night I'll switch the order of these sentence starters around so that even if someone notices a pattern there'll be no way for them to actually glean any information from it. I'll check back later to see how Deathfire's interrogation goes. I'm excited to see how this goes since we're apparently on the "guaranteed to win team" ;).

    Re: Night 1

    Also, for more precise reasons for my choice with Deathfire...
    1) As said above, he made a comment which threw Eternity and Humanity into 1 group, and the Romans and Sin into the other group. While he could have just been making a thoughtless comment as a human, the comment made me suspect darker motives (possible angel).
    2) Unlike targeting someone like Claw, it is much less likely anyone will see it coming, giving us free control over him, and making him a safer choice then some (very unlikely to be target of doctor healing)
    3) As your emperor, I believe that I need to make an impression on the people of humanity, and the safest way to do that night 1 is VIA death note. I believe that as a faction, we must persuade Humanity that we are just as friendly towards them as Eternity, before certain heretic words set in, even if it does cost a life. Not only will getting on good terms with the town make finding good mason targets easier,
    4) Deathfire has made quite a few enemies. While I still doubt he will get healed, it will possibly allow us to use certain stratagems to persuade him that I am someone else if he guesses my identity in his last will.

    Since there was more pre-game chat, I had to pick jail target purely at my discretion, so I sadly couldn’t hear any of your feedback.

    Re: Night 1

    Lmao, poor deathfire. Then again, he did say we should let the noobs live so he kind of set himself up with that one. And despite not being able to get our input before picking someone I think you did a good job on that front. I'll admit I was a little worried when DR said in the day chat "Remember you can jail someone today!". I was like "oh god if Emp is afk this is bad news", but you didn't let me down.

    As far as the deathnote goes I guess it should be something like "People of Rome, do not let the mindless rabble of malcontents dissuade you from forwarding the cause of our civilization, and of our glorious Emperor Tiberius! We ask for nothing more than the means with which to keep the peace. Without you at our backs, there is nothing for us to protect from Lucifer and his vile minions. It is in the people's best interest for the heretic Jesus to die, and what is in the people's interest is in Rome's interest. Even the Angels that have taken up the banner of this heretic know that his death has been preordained. Jesus will die so that Lucifer will die. Two of God's bickering children are nothing compared to the children of Rome. Our strength lies in unity."

    That might be a little long, I got carried away. At least it'll put a target on Nick ;). Also as an optional addendum:

    "P.S The Emperor Tiberius is a really cool guy. So please don't try to kill him. KTHXBAI"

    Re: Night 1

    Hi, I'm Pilate. I'll come into play and be less lurking on Day 2. Fred NEVER posts much on day 1, and continues to keep that trend. Changing my usual town-esque play style will alert people to my evil presence, so don't expect that I won't contribute. I'll be around and throw in my 2 cents when I'm well rested enough . Don't worry...I'm trying to figure out on my own the best way for me to continue on as a "beast" like role. Leave it to DR to stick me with one of the .... most hated roles in the game.

    Re: Night 1

    So who do we guard tonight? :P

    Just know this: If yayap, philie, false, or any of the mods/keepers for that matter have a detection role, I'm basically screwed. They know very well what I'm capable of as an evil role and how well I can blend into the town.

    On one hand, if we guard Tiberius we can stay neutral as he will not die. Should he die, my ability to recruit becomes null and void. On the other hand, if I die you will not gain any legionnaires. Either way it's a tough choice, and you should guard whomever you think is a bigger target.

    As for who I'm going to recruit...I think I should stick with less of a talker. It is more likely that I'll find a commoner amongst the quiet people.

    P.S.: Sorry I havn't been giving much help, working third shift + the holiday season takes a lot out of me.

    Sorry to sound overly selfish, but if I die, I lost the game. Because of this, I may sadly be forced to use some cheap tactics.

    Re: Night 1

    The town invest roles only have like 2-3 charges.

    I don't think they're going to smash it on night 1.

    We dont have charges.

    I haven't read the day thread yet so I dunno who I want to invest. I'll do that today sometime.

    And I'll make up a code of some type. I'm pretty much going to be trolling in day chats... Going to try a new approach.

    Re: Night 1

    Well, if we're dealing with metagame shenanigans, I might as well bring this up. Last night McPwnage was online in the forum mafia VI channel or whatever you want to call it. Curious, I checked each thread to see which one he was reading, but none of them showed up. Sooooo that means he's either in his own night chat with eternity (since Lucifer is alone tonight I doubt he's talking to himself) or he was just looking at the list of thread titles for no reason after the day chat had already closed. So if you're looking for people to invest he might be a good target.

    Re: Night 1

    I noticed the same with Ganondorf. Though he could have been reading the day thread at some stage.

    He also said "Meh, why does every win possibility have to include the Romans? You're just making it easier for them... I, for one, propose a victory where Jesus is killed at night and Lucifer is lynched in the day." In day chat. That does kinda sound town aligned.

    Celt, Borkbot and Ubernox are on my radar...

    I dunno what kinds of role we are supposed to be finding and killing? Assassins? Jesus?

    ▫ Target's role is revealed
    ▫ Jesus appears to be Rabbi
    ▫ Angel appears to be Shepherd
    ▫ Unsealed demons appear to be Commoner

    -- I also read the day thread and like the cut of this Nick guys jib.

    Anywho, it would be best to avoid the high priority targets such as yayap, illidan, raiden, goon and philie invest wise tonight and our bodyguard might wanna just jump on one of us seeing as he doesn't have charges.

    Unless someone has a better idea: I WILL GO TO COLLECT THE TAX OF "Ubernox"

    My code will be in my first post. I will call someone (stealin format of the above):

    a faggot = Commoner or Unsealed Demon or Lucifier
    a dumb jew = Jesus/Rabbi
    a stupid mofker = Assassin
    fucking high = Whore
    captain retardo = thief
    Gayer than aids
    = embalmer
    shit for brains = seer
    captain stupid
    = judas
    a dumb ho = Sinner
    a bitch= Angel/Shepherd

    At this particular time I'm not entirely sure of who I could possibly recruit, but I'm willing to bet that the non-talkers are mostly commoner roles. I'm just going to go out on a limb and assume that Sumikoko is a good target to become a Legionnaire. New players are often overlooked, and if Sumi is indeed a commoner, will make a great addition to the team.

    My target will be notified of my recruiting, so they shouldn't gather too much information just based off of that
