Shrug, I don't see anything wrong with that. It just means that the town was stupid if they lynched the person who came up as GF.

There's certain mechanical things that just suck if town gets confused over them, but I feel the Framer works fine in this regard.

I'll agree with your point, but only because if the Framer ends up framing their target as the GF, it should be as the "immune to detection" variant (e.g. cit or sinister to Invest, ns to Sheriff). This would still be enough to throw off an Invest in a game with Citizens disabled and no Random Any specified. You could possibly still let the Sheriff detect them as Mafia though, since a NS result isn't really going to throw a Sheriff off a great deal.

It should show up differently depending on the "immune to detection" option for both roles in my opinion. I don't use detection immunity on a GF, but it's enabled on my framer. Recently had a game where someone came up as "good at forgery" which was lame because we knew right away that that person was framed.
