This is a bit more than abuse, he's even editing the posts of other moderators, ones who I was always under the impression had seniority over him. He's most certainly going to have justice dealt to him in the end, but lets try to stay classy in the meantime.

He'll at the very least move to restore the posts that he edited to their original state, and all other vandalism that he may be responsible for. Like locking the application thread. And I agree, DR has to do something, if he's just decides that this is just perfectly fine, that's setting a bad precedent. That's just asking for others to do the same, I'll be highly surprised if he doesn't give him harsh punishment. He'll also incur the wrath of an entire faction, the largest one on the in fact, if he doesn't punish him.

I can personally vouch to DR taking rule breaking seriously. Hell, I had a 1-week banlist stay for game throwing. Perhaps a serious offense, but this is like breaking every rule in the book! Especially as a moderator. A moderator should be held to certain standards, and deal with things in a reasonable matter.

This is far beyond anything, this is taking it to what seems like a point of no return. If a normal member acted anyway near this, they'd deserve a ban. I can hardly see how DR can give him a pass and let him continue his moderation duties. Which reminds me, due to certain infractions on my part in that of the game itself. When DR does get back, I should have a heavy dose of punishment to enjoy, oh well. Sometime from this madness is always good.
