cultist bug?

I was a doctor in a game, and the first night I healed someone and it told me I prevented him from being converted to the cult. I didnt know that there was a specific setting that had to be toggled to actually prevent someone being taken over, so I assumed I actually prevented it, but later on it turned out he was taken over the first night. The settings said I would see if someone was taken over. The problem is that the message is very clear on the target not being taken over by cult while he is, it's really confusing if you're not completely sure how the mechanics work.
