    Role Idea: Beggar

    Alignment: Town
    Summary: Seeks solace under the townsfolk
    Goal: Lynch every criminal and evildoer

    Basic/Power

    Night Ability: Has the ability to visit another member of the town for one night. As long as you have visited one person, you cannot be killed when someone targets you. However, if someone kills the person that you visited, you die as well.

    (if a doctor heals the person or a bodyguard aids that person, you also fall under the protection)

    Notes:

    The ability works on every member of the town except for Veteran on watch who will kill you on spot.
    If you visit any member of the mafia, you will die. (useful if you leave a death note saying who you visited last)
    If you visit the serial killer, you will die.
    If you visit the Arsonist, you will be doused.
    The same message happens for the rest of the random towns so the ability will not tell you anything about witch or cult.

    The Beggar cannot be healed directly. (What doctor would cure a beggar)

    Sheriff: Your target is not suspicious.
    Investigator: Your target is a stalker.

    This doesn't add much to the game, it's just another role that really doesn't alter any strategy. Would picture him more as a Refugee Neutral role with this ability as an alternative to survivor, that would make more sense. Also, please avoid investigative descriptions.

    No, because the role is closer to a pseudo-sheriff. The role has the effect of making you part of a greater picture where the people you visit are an indicator of whether or not they are part of the town. If you write a last will beforehand, it will tell the town who killed you on your visit so that they have a place to look.

    Since the role is in itself defined by the fact that you are constantly risking your life to get this information (unlike the survivor who is trying to SAVE his life), winning with the town is far more apparent because it would require an alternative victory condition. This way, the beggar serves a greater purpose while still being capable of winning.

    I accept your logic, yet I still think that this will not be implemented for the same reasons as 95% of the other role ideas (including mine):
    -They either lack game-changing originality or Rev just doesn't want to add them

    Well I don't know about elsewhere but here in the UK our doctors tend not to rifle through someone's wallet before saving their life xD
