Mods skype cheating and abusing mod powers

My personal opinion is, stay out of games with people I don't trust to uphold a good game with. If I know they'll cheat, I dodge and run and don't worry about it.

we should be happy that mafia is still on the first page of custom games, as such we need to treat and keep members. By keeping things fair and giving them a replayability factor. If a new player joins and saw wow people are cheating they wont be back. But yes cheating is easy and inevitiable but we should make it less obvious especially mods and superusers whom we should look up to.

In any case, I did not change the outcome of either game. I killed 4 mafia because there were 6 mafia in the game and they were literally about to win. They won anyway, but I just wanted to spite them.

hmm, I have done some investigation on this matter and I can confirm that multiple mods HAVE been skyping.

The question is you should ask yourselves is, "Should I care?"

Let us attempt to waste time answering this question. First, a history lesson.

First, there was one. His name was DR, or better known as DarkRevenant. He created a cool game on SC2 that a lot of people liked to play. He decided he wanted someone to help him rape trolls. He chose Elixir.

Elixir was a good mod, but inherently useless. He never kicked anyone, so no one ever complained about him. He was basically every other mafia player that sat in a game just to have fun. He never ended up on the complaints forum.

After a while, DR decided he needed someone to actually moderate the games of Mafia. He chose a regular player named Claw. Claw was gay, but he did his job well. Unfortunately, he also listened to terrible music and liked the Buffalo Bills. DR knew he needed someone better.

Claw recommended Goonswarm for Moderator because he played a ton of games and was a good host. At first, Goonswarm was unbiased and a just mod. Many people can remember his saying, "Trolling will not be tolerated", at the beginning of every game he hosted.

An extraordinary amount of time passed with Goon hosting nearly every game of Mafia and DR reveling in the glory of his map. But as time passed, DR grew discontent. Many people were bitching about Goon and Claw for kicking them from games and raging during the game. DR knew he needed a third moderator to put Goon and Claw in their place.

Enter Falsetruth. We all know what happened next. An era of prosperity began and permeated Mafia. The custom map blossomed in its Golden Age. Falsetruth was the best moderator since sliced cheese.

Then the unthinkable happened. DR grew vain from his power. He couldn't bear the responsibility of being the leader of such a large group of people. He started Forum Mafia to alleviate his pain.

And that brings us to today. People who played well in Forum Mafia became moderators because Falsetruth the Almighty Moderator recommended them. DR agreed, but they later abused their powers and disgraced the Moderators.

Back to the question: Should you care?

No wtf. It's a fucking custom game on SC2. If a moderator kicks you, its because he thought you were 1) An idiot or 2) Cheating. If you weren't/aren't any of those, then they made a fucking mistake. Just like normal people do. Forgive and forget.

Mods don't cheat. Skype is a tool to allow mods to more easily communicate about who in the game may be cheating. Where in the fuck did you get the idea that Mods cheat? That would be counter-productive to our goal of keeping Mafia free of trolls.

Right now, you are all just specks in the sea of mafia players. Play forum mafia to gain recognition on this site, and we might actually listen to what you have to say. It's also hard to trust people who accuse without reading the rules of the complaints forums and refuse to provide replays of the incident.

If there is 1 thing I learned over the months, it's that quite a few of the mods are arrogant, juvenile, retarded fuckers guilty of cheating and abusing powers. However, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very unfortunately, mods are a necessary evil. If Dark Rev. decides that the actions of the mods is completely respectable, so be it. The SC game isn't run by the Mafia community, it's run by DR. You can either decide to ruin as many games of Mafia as possible until you get banned, then get packscape to continue ruining games until no one plays it, or you can suck it up, be the bigger man, and leave it at sending moderators rude emails :P

FM1: Narks, the cult leader, worked with Sas to fuck everyone over. Procyon, who was culted, and I constantly accused eachother, made deals and had agreements. Rev also leaked some info to me.
FM2: Once again, Procyon, Sas, Narks and I conversed profusely.
FM3: Rev leaked some roles to Procyon. Goon hinted to me that Claw was culted. At one point, I modified my Steganographer program to deliver a secret message to Claw and only Claw, based on his IP that I collected a while ago.
FM5: Nothing, actually.
