I do this thing every now and again where I rank things. At the moment I'm doing fictitious villains.
I've cut my own list down to 51, but id like to hear some opinions on who you think deserves to be there.
This will either
a: give me new names from shows/movies/comics/books that I am unfamiliar with
- in this case please make a case for the character as I won't know what to do with them otherwise.
b: help me notice clear opinions in terms of final rankings.
- making a case here will also help.
In general the bullet points one would want to hit.
1: power within their realm- for example, Negan from walking dead should be 5/5 stars for being a mothafucking cocksfucking magnificent bastard in TWD, even though he clearly falters against someone like Loki in a head to head.
2: goal- most villains seek power or revenge, some seek world peace though. The goal is relevant.
3: character- being entertaining and deep is clearly worth points. Mindless killing machines don't exactly deserve points for killing.
4: note able achievements- some villains win, some kill supporting characters, some seemingly never go away
5: the world- the scale of the world they live in matters, and popularity of the franchise should get points. Someone once said the guy from Half Life was he #1 video game hero. No, that's clearly Mario.
6: x-factor- similar to achievements, but if they bring something exceptionally unique that deserves to be noted.
If you could list, and/or make a case for, about 10 villains that'd be sick.
