Why aren't caylara and necroplant banned?

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for the thread, but it's pretty obvious what it's about. I started playing this 2 weeks ago and I've seen them almost every single day. I don't think I have to tell you guys what they do, but I'll refresh your memories. Necroplant spams swastikas and racism until people leavetrain, and caylara spams racism and gamethrows every game by trolling.

It's known they do this constantly, and yet they aren't banned. We can't even -kick caylara yet. What gives?

Necroplant is banned. If he is still in game the map hasn't yet been updated.

Caylara has many open reports. We have a lot of reports that we have to get through so it takes time to get to new reports. I've done one report on Caylara thus far and I had to ignore it because while he spammed swastikas day 1(which got him attacked night 1 as a vested cit), he then went on to play the game normally and helped his team win.

I can't comment on open reports but for his spamming to be punishable he has to verifiably hurt his team with it.

To me though, I learned who caylara was by the end of my 2nd day playing (and I have a full-time job...so there are others who play more), and every one else knows who caylara is and what caylara does. It shouldn't even be up for debate. I'm quite tired of having 1 out of 4 different games working whenever caylara/necroplant are on.

I have played over 50 games with Caylara, here are my thoughts.

Caylara spams swasticas. This is mostly done in Lag Chat to stop cheaters, yes there is a lot of lag chat cheating, yes it is most likely the people who complain Caylara spams swasticas instead of letting you lag chat cheat. If you understand why Caylara spams, you'd understand it's because Caylara does not like the constant cheating going on.

Caylara does not game throw. Caylara is a very competitive, passionate, and intelligent Mafia player. I have never seen Caylara throw a game. If you saw how hard Caylara works to get points, you'd know there is never game throwing.

Caylara does not incite leave trains. Caylara DOES request to host a 6 mafia save. It is a unique challenge that I frequently win as both Town AND Mafia. The purpose of the save is for town to work together amongst the day havoc of 6 mafia (who cannot kill at night). Marshall is a very important role for this save. This save is conducive for the zombie suicide achievement for this purpose (there is a Jester). I've seen people complain more about Chicago and Classic than Caylara's save. I would like to clarify then, that it is not a troll host or save. Unless you're calling Classic and Chicago saves troll hosts and saves...

If you've actually spent your time talking to Caylara outside of the game other than bashing Caylara the entire time, you'd realize Caylara is just like you, wanting to enjoy a game of Mafia.

There have only been a few true trolls on Mafia that I have met. I would not include Necroplant on this short list either. Necroplant spams the pause button. Big deal, it's over in 3 seconds. A true troll is someone like the fake dark rev clogging up game lobbies for hours on end (BrockSamson can attest to this) inviting penders so that no one can play. A true troll is someone like the vicious skypers that I reported but were not brought to justice simply because there is no way to upload replays from a mac.

Bottom line ErikTj, you're being a dick to a complete stranger you haven't even tried to communicate with or given the benefit of the doubt. If you have a true complaint, I would suggest you upload a replay instead of spreading false rumors.

Caylara is a troll. He continually pause spams with Necroplant. I've been in a game where he contributer to a series of 9 pause spams. He does incite leave trains, threatening that if Necroplant is kicked that they'll leave. He is a troll in every sense of the word and deserves a permaban.

On the subject of Caylara..

The save is 6 mafia. 3 set and 3 hidden in an any random slot. Its actually a pretty easy town win because almost every slot is set. It leaves almost no room for lying about your role so the scum can't really hide at all. The only problem I have with it is that players leave as town when they find out there is 6 mafia. I was pretty pissed about that when I first played it but stuck around and pulled a town win.


He/she keeps very bad company. Is always partied with members of 7 gram and the rest of the troll community but tends to stay on the outside. Good friends with necro but as I have said before- necro is my favorite troll. If the rest of our mafia trolls followed his example they would piss off a lot less players.

I would note that the pause thing is to make players quit. If nobody in the lobby has pause hotkeyed and you try to click unpause but someone else clicks it a fraction of a second before you then that pause button turns into quit... Pretty shitty move in my book.

For the games I have played c has always been a strong player. I can't say I have had a really bad experience with this player but I would not doubt for a second others have.

I won't even touch on necro. He had his chance and knows better..

Caylara's save isn't that bad. I was vig, and even though the jailor left due to the save, the town still won for me killimg 2 mafias. The marshall led the lynch of a spy, a doc, and a maf. The next day the mafia lynched the jester, killing one of them. We rolecalled and found the last mafs and won. Pretty easy town win.

Yes Caylara does. I have several replays as proof. Caylara is a hypocrite. They do unusual saves like 6 maf or 11 any randoms (no exclusions), which is fine because people complain about a lot of saves that are actually fine. My issue is that Caylara won't get host, and will instantly whine about whoever did get host's save. This despite the fact that it's more balanced than Caylara's own save. Caylara then yells something like Leave Train or Mass Leave Incoming.... 3....2.....1... and then quits.

So screw Caylara. They deserve to be banned.

Just a couple of things:

- He spams swastikas in setup chat to try and get necroplant into the game without being kicked, since he's on last-chance usergroup...


- It's not "mindless bashing". I've almost exclusively only ever seen him troll and try to get people to leave. I've also seen him gamethrow at least twice because he didn't get to host his stupid setup.

- I've messaged him about it, asking why he does it, and he's always responded saying "I am not a troll!" despite his actions. I don't know why he bothers to deny it, it's rather obvious that he griefs games with the intention of ruining it for others.

- There are multiple reports on Caylara open at the moment, so I hardly think OP is "spreading false rumors".

Just adding to it, now Caylara has a way to continuously drop from the game for 30-ish seconds, and keeps doing it once the timer resets all game. He called it his "new weapon" and I'm sure more people can vouge.

I started to dislike player Caylara since I first encountered him in a Mafia game lobby about a month ago.

His trolling routine went as follows:

Step 1. Spam Nazi-related stuff while in lobby.
Step 2. When game starts, beg-spam for host.
Step 3. Get to be host, use save featuring 6-8 mafia in it with crappy settings, save that everyone dislikes.
Step 4. People start leaving, the game is ruined.
OR
Step 3. Don't get to be host, spam hateful messages about how bad the host is, no matter what.
Step 4. Ragequit, initiate a leave train, the game is ruined.

That felt pathetic, selfish and uncomfortable to other players. And, sometimes, lobbies take quite a while to fill up.

I witnessed him doing that repeatedly in every single game I was in. Probably up to 5 games in a row, then I just let him go and started joining other lobbies to avoid him.

Overall, I saw him doing that on approximately 10 occasions. Then I took a short break from Mafia. Maybe, his trolling patterns have changed a little. But just yesterday, I joined a game and saw him Nazi-spam, and then spam-beg for host after game loaded. He did not, however leave, after he was not repicked to be host.

It is up to the Mafia community to decide his faith. But, in my opinion, such behavior should not be tolerated.

PS. I would support a petition to add the said player to the kick-vote list.

Keep in mind, making a weird save is not against the rules as players have the option to -repick.

Similarly, leaving without the intent to start a leave train is not against the rules but if you can provide 10 replays of him joining and leaving when people refuse to make him host it would probably be considered griefing and his punishment would be increased a grade.

If he does try to incite a leave train before leaving, that would only require a single confirmed replay to increase the grade on his punishment. And as per the screen shot I posted, I already know he has incited leave trains in the past.

I think you should reconsider the company you keep. Players that get their fun from ruining others experience rather than from the game itself is not exactly the best influence to have. Personally I hope you come out of this and play it straight. I have always had fun playing with you.


I would also note that its funny how only people that grief the community raise all the hell about injustice. This is probably the only game on starcraft with such a complex report system that has built in checks and balances.

Necroplant is already on the permaban list, it just needs to update (might have by now, I need to ask)
Caylara has at least a dozen reports on him all containing replays, and is a member of a <12 person clan who's description LITERALLY reads "We throw Mafia Games". He'll probably be banned shortly unless all those replays come out as false reports.
