I am a fan of the Governor, villains always interest me. I am interested to see how they develop him into a 'good-guy', as it looks like they are trying to. I also enjoy all the cross-path-ing they do. Carroll went from super motherly to badass, while Michonne went from badass distant to very human. Then Carroll descends a bit more into the dark, the "this is what it takes to survive" mentality, now we see the Governor step back from that. I am anticipating a meeting between Rick and the Governor when the Governor is willing to make agreements and align, but Rick is unwilling. The somewhat reverse of mid-late season 3.

TL;DR: Stuffs good yo.

Prison leg should've ended like in the comics. Instead, they draw his character out for another season because he got good ratings.. lol

And now I'm supposed to feel sorry and empathetic towards him after he rapes and massacres people? It's such crappy writting. I understand that they're trying to show what he's been up to since he has disappeared, but I think the Governor leg should've ended last season.

Edit: If they write it so that the Governor thinks it's a good idea to try to make any sort of peace agreement with Rick's group, then they will have failed even more. D:

What I really want is for the actor who plays the Governor to play a super hero in the X-Men world with Liam Neeson being the old version and whatshisname being the younger one. However, after looking it up, they really aren't all that far apart in age. Sad day.

That last ep was the best ep in a long time/ ever.

I don't care if it doesn't make sense that he's suddenly behaving with moral conviction when before he seemed heartless and completely non-behooved by the personal plights of individuals. Maybe being on his own for a time and experiencing so much loss has made him more sympathetic to the trials of others.

The Governor managed to show more genuine emotion in that episode than the rest of the cast combined for this whole season.

So much of this show seems constantly contrived and it was refreshing to see some scenes I actually believed.

I'm so sick of Rick's stupid group trying to fill the dumb good guy cardboard cut-out, but then to look like they "do the hard thing when it counts".

Also sick of the endless stream of red-shirts alternated with introductions of new characters each with some cliche demon. That army medic with the alcohol problem is just the most recent of them.

Agreed with Crypt, the Governor really should have been taken out in the S3 finale. The show built up a lot of tension for a great war, but we get a bullshit finale. ~20 people, with RPGs, fleeing from 2 shooters?

Negan is much better as a villain anyways.

I don't know, maybe I just feel let down comparing it to the comics, but this just doesn't seem logical to me.

the problem is the show is marketed to the average person, and the average person is stupid and doesn't even know about the comics. and you shouldnt be comparing it in the first place, you set urself up for disappointment that way.

Where it follows them around, and it shows their emotional side and how much they've changed from their long nature walks.
