So, I took a rather long hiatus from playing sc2 mafia basically from the beginning of FM3 to the end of FM4. In the meantime it seems like the mafia channel (NA, not EU) has evaporated. When I was playing this summer, if you logged on between 11pm - 1 am EDT, you'd be pretty sure to get a mostly inhouse game. Is there still some time window where that's possible, or does everyone just play pub games nowadays?

I haven't logged on much lately, but when I do, I've been playing pubs. Got tired of seeing Cult leader in all the inhouse I was joining. Especially the way they had it balanced.

Yes, I have noticed as well. There use to be at most 50 people in the channel at once. Now, there is only 24 whenever I go in and It's all people I've never seen. It's been a while since I have played a full IH game. Guess mafia is dying when it comes to good games.

I still don't see how I am a compulsive cheater. I started lagging and that guy IMINDEEP started to lag cheat..

I was pretty fed up with the community last month, but I've been slowly getting back on and playing pubs(where 70% of them are the same 3 people getting pissed off at host and trying to force the repick onto me).

A good way to get the channel started again is to narrow down the scope of when you want to play, post it here, and try and sync it up with the rest of the people interested in playing again. Then just recommending good pub players join the channel and building up on that again. At least, imo. It'll probably take a little time and effort but it should work the same way it did back when the map first was released.

I think we had pretty reasonable success tonight, much better than I would've expected... I still think a mention of the channel on the loading screen might help, too.

I had fun tonight. Although only dying once in the 5 pub games + 2 In house games I played may have contributed to that.

Take note that last night we got two 12 person IHs going no problem. Getting the channel going again is very possible, just keep promoting the channel to good players.

When I play pubs I advertise the channel and forums, but like 80% of them don't give a fuck and just want to play their pubs.
