Win condition: Town loses
Optional:
- Can only extort town/neutral benign, is notified when extortion fails.
- Cannot mark the night after a shakedown
Strategy:
Town usually relies on lynching rather than killing roles. The extortionist has the power to delay lynches, and tip the balance against town. Extortionist can save confirmed maf/neut evil/neut killing/ self from a lynch. It's unlikely to tip the balance often, but may frame a person or two and may delay a close lynch or two. That is IF the Extortionist has figured out who the bad guys are. A bad extortionist might save townies rather than maf.
-Anyone the extortionist saves will likely be lynched the next day or killed that night
-People will occasionally try arguing that they were forced to vote innocent to deflect suspicion.
-The extortionist skill will likely need to be saved for several tuns to have any meaning.
