As per the results of the consensus that I am currently running: https://www.sc2mafia.com/forum/showth...games-you-own? I am going to run a month long tournament I am dubbing the: Monster-Month-Long-Super-Tournament-That-Everyone-Can-Enter-Super-Multi-Game-Tournament or: Monthly Tournament Marathon #1 for short.


Starts: Officially, Monday July 15, 2013 at ~6PM with the start of the first Mafia Game.
Ends: In 4 weeks from start.

Info:
-It will be 4 weeks (1 month) long
-It will have 4 games a week you can play to get points
-The Top 3 Players (maybe Top 5) with points will get Prizes (Video Games from steam)
-Mafia will be one of the games that you can get points from, among 3 other games (perhaps more).

General Tournament Rules:
-All events must follow sc2mafia rules (as directed by Raptorblaze and oops_ur_dead)
-To sign up for the Tournament, you must do so in this thread by going: /sign
-Over the course of 1 month, there will 16 events that members on sc2mafia can gain points, or 4 events per week.
-Prizes will be determined by the amount of points at the end of the month.
-Any player that plays over 13 of the games, gets a automatic 2 bonus points for the next monthly tournament.
-Prize donations will be accepted.
-Reserves are only allowed in the event of rounding off a team.
-Smurfs are not allowed in the tournament. If I find you signing up with a smurf, I will personally ban you from this and any future tournaments.
-Acting like a troll, griefing, hacking or causing general problems for the tournament with a purpose in mind, will result in you being ejected from this tournament and you will not be able to signup for the next one.
-Points are only to be recorded by (TimeTrx) the host (at least the official points) and will be placed in the post below (See scores).
-Any signups I find questionable, will be put to a vote from the people already signed up.
-All rules subject to change.

Game Rules:
-You must follow the rules of the game you are playing.
-You must follow the General Tournament Rules.
-All games will be Multi-player based
-If your team is (or if your not on a team but are) successful in winning the game event, you will receive 1 point for that round.

Prize donation Rules:
-Anyone can donate to the cause, please PM me if you wish to donate.
-Any video game donations are accepted, as long as they are legal to own. (e.g. DOTA2 beta keys, steam game keys, etc.)
-By donating you will get the special perk of choosing your team for one of the events, or in the case of Mafia you will be able to choose the save for one game.
-All donations will be given to players in the tournament, at the conclusion of the tournament, the host will not keep any donations.

Prizes:
-Grand Prize Winner gets up to a $5 game on steam paid for by me (TimeTrx).
-2nd Place gets a prize, up to a $5 game on steam
-3rd Place gets a prize, up to a $5 game on steam
(I will wait for sales if you guys want a $60 game when it goes on sale for cheap)

Game Info:
Game 1: Mafia Mondays - Every Monday (for 4 weeks) at ~6PM EST. 5 games (5 rounds) of Mafia, (Max points you can earn is 5, Minimum points you can earn is 0, Estimated Average 2)
Game 2: Wacky Wednesdays, Players choice game. A poll will be held the game with the most votes will be played for that week. Up to 4 games will be played, so up to 4 points for winning can be earned. Note: Once a game is played it can't be played again for the month. E.g. Dota 2, League of Legends, TF2, L4D2, etc.
Game 3: Phantom Fridays, Yes on Fridays we play Phantom Mode on Starcraft 2. Anyone not knowing what that is, check this out: https://www.sc2phantom.com/faq.php?faq=pmfaq . Three games will be played, so you can earn up to 3 points on this day.

I don't quite understand how to get points, but I'm quite the gamer. I refuse LoL / Dota2 though.

Likely there will be a LoL/Dota2/Smite/Blizzard-All-Stars game day considering. Points are team-based when your team wins a round, you all get 1 point. Rounds are based on how many games (each time we start a game) of that game (e.g for mafia there will be 5 rounds by far the biggest and easiest game to get points).

Then you will lose your chance of a $25 game. Also know that nothing is set in stone. What is probably going to happen is a RTS day: a LoL/Dota2/Smite/Blizzard-All-Stars game day where 1 week it will be Dota2, the next will be LoL and so on. I'm thinking to have one of the days: Phathom Zone/Light-Cycles Day/Blizzard SC2 Custom Map Day (Excluding Mafia).

None of the games have been picked other than Mafia. If there is interest in LoL or Dota2, LoL is free so no worries there. However Dota2 is not free but the way it looks right now is:

-Player 1: Has LoL, doesn't have Dota2
-Player 2: Has Dota2, doesn't have LoL

"I'm Player 1, I hate Dota2 and refuse to play it or be in the tournament if it has it"
and
"I'm Player 2, I hate LoL and refuse to play it or be in the tournament if it has it"

So, I probably going to not have either in the tournament because these 2 groups of people can't get along.

Depends on the game actually. I could have you all on 1 team, where the winner would have the would have the most amount of kills and assists with the least amount of deaths.
