Server changes coming soon

Next time oops and I both have a free moment (since he's offline tonight, it will probably have to wait until after finals and graduation, since I will be insanely busy until then), I will be doing some overhauls to the server.

Changes will include:

New modpack (the brand new Tekkit modpack that includes Galacicraft)
Updating all the stickies in this forum with correct info
Potentially new plugins for questing and NPCs if I can get them to work
Probably some other minor changes (like updating the forum description with the correct IP)
MOST LIKELY going into Online Mode for the new server (which means no cracked MC clients)

Stay tuned for more once oops and I get everything working.

Online mode = only legit MC clients can play.
Offline mode = cracked MC clients (pirated) can play.

Plugins will all be fine. However, Thaumcraft is a mod; unless it is included in the modpack (and I don't think it is), it won't be on the server.

True, but the server is using the Technic platform. Technic lets you download pre-made modpacks (or make your own). Since the server will be running on the official Tekkit modpack, we cannot add or remove mods. That would require me to make a custom modpack with the mods we want, get them working together, and then host it somewhere that players could download it. I've tried that before and have had no luck; I'm guessing it's an operating system issue.

So tl;dr, yes, but we're using a prepackaged modpack, so we can't add or remove at our leisure.

However, any Bukkit plugins (for the most part - there are a FEW compatibility issues between Bukkit and Technic platform) will still work.
