What to do when jailed as town with a kidnapper in game?

Hey guys

I'm not sure if its intentional but the kidnapper appears to be just like the jailor so you don't know who you are jailed by

As a town it makes me not want to reveal role

But then jailors that are used to getting role just exe you

Was it intentional to change the jailor gameplay by making kidnapper appear identical? in kill message also?

What do you guys do when jailed whilst a kidnapper is in game?

I think if it will stay the same jailors have to rethink strategy, i.e. not execute people who dont reveal, or something

It is intentional.
People are going to have to learn to think for once and not just role or die.

I believe the best idea is : generally claim you are town in early game, claim neutral in the middle later game and claim truthfully in the end of game.

If you do not, here is why:
assume there is a jailor and a kidnapper,
jailor 2+ execution, kidnapper 1

if it is early game, you should just claim/lie a role and walk away.

Because, if the jailor is responsible, he will not execute you for your name.

If the jailor is a scum, you can not escape anyway.

if it is kidnapper, notice he can only execute ONE per game, so he must wait till game point to execute.

Therefore, you should not being paranoid to kidnapper and always claim a role in jail, lies or not.

However, if it is late game, not too many towns are left,

Unless you are a CONFIRMED town, Claim a Neutral role, but do not say that you do not care.

You have to convince that who the jailor hated is also you hated, and jailor will leave you alive.

The point is still the save, kidnapper will not waste execution on neutral, neither jailor at this point of game.

if it is by the end of game, just be truthful.

Kidnapper and jailor may just execute you anyway for a gambling, so just be truthful, do not be rage.

However, jailor may take a gambling that he will not be killed by mafia and jail again next day,

so claim truthfully is the best idea for you to survive and win.

Unless you are certain it is a kidnapper, do not lie.

kidnapper executes (no reason not to its a power role if you find riff or some other power role you can attemt to jail them repetavily but any smart kidnapper would exe a mayor claim right away

Yepp, so if you are actually a powerless citizen, you actually helped town by being executed.

I almost always claim mayor, even before kidnapper is in...cuz I am really good at defense.

cit jailed: claim mayor and see if it says execute. if says reveal tom most likely jailor. even ask for number in jail best way to get kidnappers
