    New Roles:Fortune Teller and Sniper

    Role:Fortune Teller
    Alignment:Town
    Ability:At night you may give someone 1 of 2 cards(two buttons just like the witch or BD)
    Fortune:your target gains immunity for the night, can only be used once
    Misfortune:your target dies,can only be used once

    Roleniper
    Alignment:Mafia
    Ability:you may kill someone a night. You may only kill if the mafia doesn't kill. You have 3 charges.Your kill doesn't require you to visit someone,so detective, lookout etc does not see who you targeted

    I dont see the point of the "Misfortune" in the Fortune Teller

    I think you miss read both

    The sniper kills someone without visiting anyone,so the detective, if he targets the sniper while the sniper kills,he will be shown that the sniper did not visit anyone etc.

    And the misfortune removes any immunity for that night, so if he targets sk,gf etc they can get killed that night

    Edit: I see your point in the misfortune,so I changed it that it kills who he targets, but he can only kill and heal once

    I think there's some potential in the sniper idea, but at the moment it's only useful against detectives and lookouts.

    Perhaps the sniper also doesn't get killed if the target has a bodyguard protecting him, or if he targets a veteran?

    Don't know if mafia is the best place to put his alignment, if he is mafia then I don't actually like my suggestions too much (town need all the help they can get against the mafia, dunno if I like the idea of removing the threat of bodyguards and veterans!).

    I like the suggestion of the BG or veteran not being protected,so. Perhapse it being neutral role with the win condition make the mafia lose?TY for the suggestion

    Actually, I think this addition would make the sniper a pretty nice mafia role to have. The main problem with your original suggestion (as it stands), is that a detect-immune gf can also kill without being spotted by detective/lookout. So perhaps if that ability were removed from the godfather, then the sniper would be a really valuable role to have. (Along with ignoring bodyguard & veteran.)

    It does seem like it'd make most sense for it to be a mafia role, though. We've got enough neutrals already, anyways.

    The Fortune Teller is just another crappy role suggested by Wolfman/Cult Acolyte, but I completely agree with the fact that the Sniper has SOME potential as it can avoid a Detective or a Lookout tracking/detecting you, it can be considered a "clean" kill by the Mafia.

    I think that Fortune teller is interesting, but what will be the Sniper's death descriptor? The same as mafia (shot at close range)? This is strange... Sniper... Close range... Bad. But with a different descriptor people will know that there's a snipers and detectives have a easier work.

    I strongly dislike the sniper simply because it once again discourages the use of lookouts and detectives in setups, while encouraging to use sheriffs and investigators instead (which are already far too popular).

    The recent addition that allows lookouts and detectives to ignore detection immunity was a step in the right direction, but this role would nullify the impact of that change.

    Secondly, it's just another direct killing role, which the mafia already has enough of. I'd prefer a sniper who can choose to shoot someone on the trial stand, as was suggested by someone else a while back. Makes random lynching a little more dangerous.

    And on another note.. snipers aren't really the mafia's style. They like to be brutal and visible, so their target has something to think on right before they get offed

    As far as sniper goes, It would probably make more sense to condense it into a new option for mafiaso rather then an entire new role.....

    I think the fortune teller is completely STUPID
    but so far in all of your suggestions I think the sniper might be the jackpot
    make it that snipers shoot through doctor and Bodyguard but not immunity.
